yet i cant find a 7 plus or even 8 plus
They're probably sold out at this point. You might find some old stock at smaller local shops or eBay if you want to navigate that mess.
Is there a reason for a 7 Plus specifically? You'll probably need to replace battery straight away anyway so might be fine getting a clean refurb.
its tough and cheap to repair. drop any glass back iphone and its like 500$ fix.
im also paranoid face is not good for your eyes. its constantly emitting infared at your eyes non stop. if you film a iphone 11 it shows up in video.Then the new SE is your ideal option, even if smaller than the Plus. At least it's newer tech and will last you a lot longer.
The infrared emission thing is a non-issue. It's minor compared to your exposure to everything else that emits it including the sun.

Second the iphone SE2 purchase. Ifixit has shown that this phone is more repairable than it's predecessor https://www.slashgear.com/iphone-se-2020-full-ifixit-teardow… because it uses some of the parts from iP8, meaning you can keep it going for longer as the parts are more readily available
For older gen iPhone they'll probably show up as a refurb offer at ALDI at some point. They sold a refurbed iPhone 6s in January 2019 and got reduced down to $299 not long after (many of the models on display had actually been unsealed, presumable people returned them due to poor battery life).
