Is it me or have the size of the tubes and chips themselves shrunk over the years?
Between the size of the carton and the size of the chips it seems to have shrunk by half the size compared to when they first came out.
Sure seems to be a LOT of 'empty' after you open a can these days. And they can't really use the 'argument' conventional chip makers use that the extra space saves damaged chips. Let's face it, given the way Pringles are packaged, surely to pack the container full would result in less damage (as the chips could'd bang back and forth so much). Still I'm sure marketing people can put some BS spin or 'good reason' for it.

At this point, even the supermarket brand equivalents are better value for equally mediocre flavour.

It didn't actually register with me that this change (made in Malaysia) had taken place and been effected.
All I know is that when I saw the difference (smaller chips, more 'air' in container AND smaller size container) I rarely buy them anymore.
Not to mention someone else's comment… the oil used when making in Malaysia is even/much worse than when they were made in the U.S.
Costco used to stock the real deal a few months ago, but haven't checked since then.
