As far as know its like aliexpress or kogan of the south east asia.
The prices are very very good given our currency is a higher standing than whatever it is these guys use.
When I went to sign up they wanted a local number of google/fb?
Anyone?

It's the eBay of Malaysia. Reliable but clearly, be careful of scammers. Look at the reviews of the seller, helps a lot.
I've used Lazada heaps of times delivered within Malaysia, way cheaper than Aliexpress and it actually gets delivered by the week mostly.
Yeah - bought from them but small items like biscuits and Milo, mostly under $50 ringgit. Shipping is within Malaysia only and they need local mobile number and local credit card. Shipping is about $5 ringgit and quite reliable.
