Can anyone help me with advice on a broken cable on a pair of Bose QC20 headphones. The outer layer of the cable has split in one spot, and the wires within snapped/damaged. Now I can only hear crackling as the cable is flexed.
It's a few years out of warranty. An ozbargain special.
Does this sound fixable?
It's between the battery and the microphone/controller.
I don't think there would be too much you can do then. The choices are: go onto the Bose support site and enter the serial number. They will tell you how much it would cost to replace it with a new pair of QC20s. Or google headphone repairs and see if they can give you a quote.
Probably depends on where the issue is: Is it between the battery and the ear pieces, or is it between the 3.5mm and the battery?
