Help! So Many Options for a New Laptop. Would Love Some Help. (Budget $1800)

I had a HP Folio notebook years ago and it has finally started to go. So now in the market for a new one. It was a basic lappy but was fab back then with the SSD (good for all those years ago). Looking for Thunderbolt 3, SSD 512 i5 or I7. Good battery. No gaming, and no touchscreen. Used to a 14 inch but can go bigger.

Cheers

  • What is your budget?

    • $1500 -$1800 :)

  • Dell XPS 13? Thunderbolt, lightweight, newest 10-th gen Intel CPU's. No GPU's unless you go for the 15 inch models.

    • Is that a touch screen? looks nice bit pricey though.. Thanks for your reply appreciate it.

      • nope. not touch. 13.3-inch FHD (1920 x 1080) InfinityEdge Non-Touch Display

        • Looks really nice.

  • whatever you get, make sure it has USBC-C with thunderbolt.
Please. i learned the hard way.

    • Cheers

    • Why? What needs USBC-C with thunderbolt?

  • Wow, curious as to why you don't want touchscreen? I love touchscreen laptops, couldn't live without mine.

Also maybe look at ThinkPad line? I haven't owned one personally but I've only ever heard good things about them; reliable and good specs at an inexpensive cost.

    • I just don't like finger prints on screen, I touch type so much easier for me.

  • The Acer in this post is very good value; light, great battery life, 512GB storage, a 10th-gen i5 and is only $999. Also has thunderbolt 3.
