I have one of these - the cool time is definitely closer to 12 hours. Haven't tried hot. For $15, it's good value.
In my experience the manufacturers' figures are always inflated for insulated bottles. There's no definition for "hot" and "cold" so they could be filling it with ice and measuring how long it takes for the water to melt and reach just below the ambient temperature, which would be a very different time to what you'd experience in real world usage.
Filled one of mine with fridge temp water and maybe 6 or 7 ice cubes about 6pm last night, just had a drink and its below fridge temp still.
I guess it depends how many times you open the thing, the ambient temp, if you're adding ice cubes and what your definition of 'cold' is.
They're decent bottles (I have 2 and use them all the time), but you're right the marketing may be somewhat 'optimistic' :)
Mine keeps ice cubes (albeit melted down ones) after 18 hours.
All in all these bottles are awesome for the price. I have 2. I might buy a 3rd, just because.. I can.
The 1L is cool for 24hrs and hot for 12.
The 500mL is cool for 12hrs and hot for 6.

Saw this in store, but is unavailable on the website, I think it's a clearance item which is were I saw it. You can try ordering online and they might substitute for a similar better item.

I have two of these bottles (1 at home, 1 at work), convinced my brother to buy one for himself, who ended up buying one for his girlfriend. These are great bottles, keeps stuff cool for ages! Big hole, so if you're in a rush to slurp some cool water you might get some down your shirt.
Have left water with ice in it overnight and still had (small) ice cubes in it afterwards. Haven't tried with hot.
The hole big enough to get your hand in it to clean without using a brush?

Not unless you stick your baby's hand in there. The opening is 5 cm in diameter. 8-year-old children don't have hands that small!

I use two of these everyday, I put cold water and around 10 ice cubes and still have ice at night
have one , no way close to what they claim!! but good for the price you pay imo.
I got another brand (obviously more expensive , 4 times the price) but they really meets what they write on their package
I got one of these the last time this deal was going, it's solid. Keeps water ice cold for the time specified.
Why can’t I find the 500ml one on the website? Generally they’re both 1/2 price at the same time.
These do stay cold for 10 hours+
Remember to never freeze the bottle itself.
Is there a reason? Does it effect the double wall, or welds? With no lid of course, Im not sure why freezing it empty or say 1/3 full would hurt it.
Does it freeze top down maybe so any expansion is forced into the walls? Maybe lean it a little?

Save your money on a Tiger/Zojirushi. They'll outperform and outlast these cheaper ones.
Do they have lifetime warranties?
Not sure about that, but in terms of keeping warm/cold, they last way longer.
Tried 3 different Woolies near home and I could only find 1 on a shelf but it had a liquid in it, dings and look like it had been dropped on the floor multiple times. I suspected it was someones old one that had been swapped over as it looked 'used'.

Instore, mine was ticketed at $15 on the shelf.
FYI, the sticker in the image says that it keeps contents cool for 24 hours and hot for 12 hours, which is double what you have in the description.
