Foodbomb or Bulk Groceries Delivery?

Has anyone here tried living their weekly life by buying bulk groceries and how has that been?

Saw an ad for foodbomb for some decent prices eg chicken breast for $6.50, with min 5kg which isn’t too bad if you can freeze it.

Wondering how people here cut down costs on groceries.

  • Hi,
It is a trade-off… If you have a freezer or space and can live with defrosting…

Only buy what you will actually consume.
Food waste is a large cost factor.

  • I store lots of food with minimal spoilage but I don't freeze chicken.

Chicken doesn't store well. Frozen ones have this brownish curdled blood in the drumstick and a few other parts.

  • If we buy in bulk, we cook a big batch and keep it in the fridge to be eaten over the next couple of days. The frozen then thawed meat and poultry when cooked never taste the same as the fresh stuff and my kids can tell the difference. They'll happily eat frozen veggies though.
