I'm looking for a TV to be transported from Dubbo to Canberra. It's a brand new 65" TV in the unopened box, that won't fit in my car. Any suggestions? Thanks

Paying for delivery isn't an option?
Nah, Good Guys said if it's a delivery out of Dubbo, I'm better off organising myself.
Borrow or rent a car. I managed to lay a 65" Hisense P8 flat in a Forester FWIW.
I'm in Canberra, TV is in Dubbo.
@Slippery Fish: GG said i would be better off organising it. Don't think they were being lazy, I just don't think it's something they do outside their own region.
@Slippery Fish: Agree, or find another deal, it would have to be a considerable saving to warrant the costs of arranging yourself.
Generally companies get deals on shipping that the average joe cant get close to - eg Amazon free shipping, that we would pay a minimum of $10 for
Can you get the store to transfer it to a store in Canberra - if its a chain?
That's a great idea, don't know why TGG didn't suggest that?
Could be all franchisee owned stores around this region and they just cbf'ed?
Called them up and they will "see" if they can do a transfer to a closer store. Thanks for suggestion, k-rokfm.
As you say mini2, I suspect they cbf'ed (had to think about that for a second, but agree whole heartedly).I'll let you know how it goes, Airtasker is another option I hadn't considered.
@patmccrotch: Lol why would you risk your new tv to save what $20? If they won't transfer go see local gg then if they match cancel that order.
I think all TGGs are now owned by JB Hifi.
Airtasker?
What a horrible suggestion..
OK, they agreed to handle delivery to ACT for less than $100, so that's going to be simplest and easiest option for all. When I spoke to them originally they gave the impression this was going to be difficult and expensive, so not sure why they had a sudden change of heart. Thanks to all respondents.
won't fit in my car.
So picking up yourself is something you've considered? According to google maps, it's a 9 hour round trip from Dubbo to Canberra … when you've got that type of commitment, what's an extra $50 on renting a ute for the day?
Toss it on the roof and get couple of stretchy straps to hold it down. It'll be right ;)
