[XB1] Bless Unleashed MMORPG Free to Play with Xbox Live Gold/Ultimate

I came across this game 'by accident' while I was tidying up storage in my Xbox One.

It got my interest because, for one, I have never heard of it even though I love MMORPGs, and partly because it's Free to Play (with Gold/Ultimate).

Here is the game description from Wikipedia:

Bless Unleashed is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) developed by Round 8 Studios and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment for the Xbox One.

It is a reboot of Bless Online, and was released on the 13th of March 2020.

It's a 21 Gig download without addons.

It has a 2.7 out of 5 star rating on Xbox (with most negative reviews complaining that there are no Oceanic servers, which inevitably leads to high lag/latency).

It has a 90% positive rating by Google users, but only 60% on Metacritic, 3/5 on Screen Rant, and 3.5 out of 5 in "Google Reviews".

I have just finished downloading it, but it has mixed reviews so before putting a lot of time into it, I thought I'd create a poll to see if ozbargainers have played this game or not, and if they have, whether they liked it or not (and why).

    I’m surprised they took a big gamble because the original had horrendeous reviews on Steam. https://store.steampowered.com/app/681660
    Korean MMOs are mostly p2w with undeniably great jiggle physics.

    I heard this is a completely different game and it’s good due to Bandai Namco magic. Unfortunately it’s only on Xbox…

      Those were some horrendous reviews on Steam! But there were also some really good reviews too.

      Hopefully, like you've heard, this 'reboot' version may be better.

      I won't invest too much time into it though (lore, specs, build, character creation, etc) but I'll just play it for a bit and see how I go.

      Edit: I had a better look at the reviews you posted, and a lot of the negatives were because the developers dumped the PC version, and released it on Xbox, so hopefully the gameplay will be be better on the console.

      The other big downvote were the bugs on release, hopefully they fixed those.

      It still looks like a big gamble though, which is a pity, because I think there is a shortage of really good MMORPGs on the Xbox atm.
