Recommendations for Best Budget Monitor ($100 - $300)

Hi everyone!

I'm looking for a monitor that I can use in conjunction with my 13" Macbook air. It will mainly be used for studying and web browsing. It would preferably be between $100 to $300, 24" - 27" and thin bezels if possible.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks!

There are some dell refurbs on eBay that are around $100 for 24in.
If the need is not urgent, there will be many for sale secondhand in a few months when work from home decreases.

Without a doubt the AOC 24G2 if you can find it, or the 27 inch equivalent.

    • I regret not getting one earlier for $270, now they are near $350
      edit: or out of stock

    • I’ve got this. Picked it up for $240 on an eBay sale. Awesome monitor.

Realized after purchase I wanted something bigger so I’m now looking for an ultrawide but they’re so expensive now. Damn.

I think 27 1440p 60hz would be the lowest for most modern laptops… I dont see the point of 27 1080p given most laptops are FHD anyway.

Problem is they seem to have all gone over $300 and I dont see refurbs.

If you lower to 24" then yeah surely that market is flooded.

    • Do you have a recommendation for a 24" 1440p 60hz monitor?

Taking into account your budget there are not many option available for decent 27 inch monitors because there is a shortage of monitors in the 100 to 300 price range and computer parts shops increased their prices and you could probably only be able to get a FHD monitor at this price range unless you want to spend more than $400 and look around for a decent QHD monitor.

  • I have this a little smaller than what you wanted but no complaints.

  • if you had to have a monitor say 24" then i'd go to an exlease place and see what stuff they have

i've seen stuff for under $100, eg. HP or Dell units that are admittedly 2nd hand 3yr old units that businesses have replaced.
