Where can I buy MacBook Pro i5, 16GB Ram, 512 GB SSD on budget?

I’m planning to upgrade from my MacBook Air !
My main use: Photo editing on Light room and Garage band for my Podcast
I believe I need : 16 GB RAM and 512 GB SSD for next Mac Book

My budget is up to 2000
New MacBook Pro is way to expensive for me as it goes above 2700$ for the specs I need. So I’m confused about Mew Mac Air, Pro and Pro 16”

I don’t mind Refurbished but not sure of safe place to buy from.

If anyone can give me some tips please.

    You could try "Macs As New" who are an Apple certified seller of used Macs. Well established store that has been around for decades. Their Macs come with a warranty. They are on the north shore in Sydney.

    Since you’re in Victoria maybe you know some at UniMelb. They get a bigger discount for Apple products through the Apple site than the usual Ed store.

        There is a generic Ed discount but someone posted a linked on the last cashback deal to the Unimelb page and the discounts were deeper.
