Google Home Mini - Spotty Bluetooth

So recently started streaming bluetooth music to a Home Mini.

Am always nearby and it basically it has a hiccup every 30 seconds, and then eventually after a few mins the music just stops. Check on the phone and Bluetooth has been disconnected (connection dropped).

I have asked bluetooth to forget all connections, and tried re-connecting etc. Problem still persists.
I am aware some people will use the Google Home App to stream WiFi music, but bluetooth is just more convenient.

Anyone else have this issue with Bluetooth on the Google Home Mini?

    Got one when they were handing them out for free. So replacement is kind of tricky.
    Like probably most of you I barely used it until now. Internet radio works fine..

    How?! You either use voice control and tell it what you want, or cast to it. Casting doesn't take any extra effort over BT and will ensure you don't have the spotty connection (and uses less of your phone battery)

      Need to stream music I have stored on the Phone.

      Which requires me to use the Google Home App I gather.

      I gave it to my mother so it’s all setup through her phone. I just want it to be a Bluetooth speaker, but Home Mini seems to think this should be difficult.

      So it seems Home Mini has spotty bluetooth got it.

      I actually have problems with casting music to my google home max. But on the same network my google home and mini have no problems. And they were in the same location when i troubleshooted. So technology at its best. And I returned my max for a new 1. Same problem. At least bluetooth works with the max so fingers crossed
