This was not selling for $2,399, it was selling for $1529.23

savings is 15%, not 43% as claimed on the link…

I was going to counter your comment by saying that the cached version clearly says that the RRP was $2,000-ish (not 1529.23) but I realised that even then, the rep seems giving false information as the cached version says it's $2,299 while here they say it's 2,399

      • regardless its no point listing the RRP if no one is charging the RRP…its just plain misleading, advertising a savings when there isnt in fact one.

      • Hi cave, thanks for spotting that error. The Recommended Retail Price (RRP) I posted above on OzBargain was incorrect. Both the recently cached page and the current page on hot.com.au display an RRP of $2,299, which is accruate. I incorrectly posted an RRP of $2,399 above ($100 more) - and have now changed it to reflect the RRP on hot.com.au. The discount from RRP - 43% - as posted on hot.com.au is also accurate.

The error was my fault, I just reused the Recommended Retail Price (RRP) from the last offer we posted on this model - and as you've pointed out, it appears the RRP dropped $100 on hot.com.au over that same time period. Sorry everyone, and thank you for picking this up.

      ditto……

      great projector too….

      • Hi Twodogs and andy19363, glad to hear you're both enjoying your projectors! Thank you for the support. :)

  • Never buy a projector without a 14 day full refund if you are not totally satisfied.

    • who offers 14 days refund?

      • Anyone who I buy electronics from. Expect less and you will get less. Everything is negotiable.

  • Sounds like a good deal, but has anyone compared this against the BenQ W1000D in shops / demos? I've googled some reviews, but I trust "reputable reviews" less and less each day for technology (particularly when the same sites might rate a budget laptop a 4/5 and a high-end well spec'd laptop at the same. Kind of difficult to take their reviews seriously).

    • the same sites might rate a budget laptop a 4/5 and a high-end well spec'd laptop at the same

Ahhh…. if only life were as simple as 1 = bad, 5 = good

Some might assume that there would be other criteria involved other than simply 'specs'. For example, the budget laptop may be particularly good value for money, the high end might be particularly ugly, etc etc etc.
You might want to consider broadening out your thinking a bit…. there's more to life than simply good/bad :)
