  I think it's tofu residue (bean pulp) rather than actually tofu. But dried defrosted frozen firm tofu would also be super absorbent.

  Apparently, "flushable in small quantities". Hopefully by "flushable" they mean "actually flushable", unlike the other and somewhat misleading context as used in "flushable wipes" where it actually means not flushable.

    correct. it is actually flushable in small quantities. Tofu kitty litter is really great. Very limited smell to it, clumps beautifully and dissolves quickly. not sure how to link to a video properly here because I am still a newbie plus a little lazy - link youtube.com/watch?v=TQXTVq0SFYE
