  • All of these games have been available in previous bundles.

Still good value if you dont have them for nostalgias sake.

    Been wanting these. Thanks
Cant wait to replay Space quest and Police quest

  • Are Space Quest and Kings Quest collections redeemable being as they aren't available via Steam in Australia?

    • I've just downloaded the Original Space Quest and Kings Quest collections via this bundle and they play fine on Steam.

    • Yes, they work fine. Just activated all my games without a problem.

Wow, I remember KQ 6 when it came out originally, cost me $250 to get an 8-bit soundcard so I didn't have to go through the whole thing with only PC speaker beeps. Was the only game the Mrs has ever sat down and played through with me, and we've been together for 35 years. :)

It's probably crap now. (The game, not the Mrs)

A save with the last few words!😥😉

  • Ceaser 3 in the highest bracket… Probably shows how big of a failure ceaser 4 was

    • Ceaser 3 and 4 are great game :-)

  • I don't know any of these games. Are these puzzle games?

    • +3

Some are city builders, majority are classic adventure/point n click games.
Look them up on Steam to see some footage.

    • -3

Most are point n click adventure games, so yes they include puzzles from the boomer era of Sierra & Lucasarts.

i spent my youth playing these Quest for Glory/ Space/ Police sierra games, i like having them in my steam collection even if i probably wont revisit them

  • No Leisure Suit Larry?

  • +4

Bring back the classic SIM series…..

    SimCity
    SimAnt
    SimFarm
    SimEarth
    SimSafari

For some reason, playing as ant was super addictive.

    • Back then, the imagination of the possibilities were epic.

Look now, we have Goat Sim and Surgeon Simulator

I can see this being yet another bunch of PC games I buy just to add to my library but never play (probably never even install) any of them. I think I have a problem.

  • No "Sam and Max Hit the Road"?

    • Sam and Max was made by Lucas Arts not Sierra.

      • +2

Cheers, was a LONG time ago. :)

    • If ever you play it, get the non-talkie version or turn the voices off.

Something about the spontaneity and speed of reading their quips is much funnier than hearing them say it at a slower pace.

Possibly my favourite game ever. Have the German floppy version in the cupboard just so I could get the art piece that came with it.

  • Not used steam before but these games have triggered the nostalgia! Questions:
    * Can I play on Mac?
    * If I buy one of these bundles, can I play forever/whenever or are they only available to play for a limited time?
    Cheers!

    • To answer my own question, seems a NO to playing on MAC :(

      • Investigate ScummVM for Mac..

you've probably already figured it out, but the steam page should have icons indicating what platforms each game supports. humble may as well

Awesome… Just relived the whole Hero's Quest in my mind's eye with a smile (nowadays called Quest for Glory after Sierra failed to secure the naming rights). Loved that game… it was so ahead of its time for player imports (Mass Effect), non-linear gameplay (vs space quest) … best times

I then ticked over the BTA to the 19 to get the original firestarter to the sierra franchise and got space quest too.

never really got into kings quest.

    Great little treat

  • Thanks @lysander

I grew up with Sierra throughout my junior high school years, love the company and not just the games.
I was a member of Sierra Fan Club and received their quarterly magazine and 3/4 shirt.
I even decided to do computer science because of them. GOOD TIMES!!!!

Ken & Roberta Williams are industry pioneer, Al Lowe is a legend. Pity what happened to Sierra after the EA deal.

@AngusD same here! we don't have a problem - we are just nostalgic - would love to talk about the games over beer and reminisce LOL

    • +1

No problem. Enjoy your trip down memory lane - hopefully you find some to replay some of these great old games.

Fellow Sierra Fan Club member reporting in.

  • MMM just installed and they seem to be the really really original DOS versions, not the remastered windows versions. (I played both)… would have been great to give you the option.

King's quest stick figure is quite a sight to walk around and be eaten by alligators… cause you set the speed to fast and fast on modern pc is super fast!

Every 10 years I play all these games again as I grew up playing them as a child (mainly Kings Quest, Quest for Glory and Space quest series).
Will be re-playing them every decade till the day I die no doubt.

  • Velocity 2X is the highlight for me.
Also did the 2nd tier always be beat the average or did it used to be the third tier. Can't tell if those tiers are just more expensive or that they now show prices in Australian dollars.

    • 2nd tier is traditionally beat the average. Always has been.

  • Mixed Up Mother Goose anyone?

  • If anyone wants the Gabriel Knights or Phantasmagorias, message me. I'm thinking of buying this bundle, but the third tier price is a bit high when I already have those on GOG.

Maybe I'll just wishlist the Police/Space/Glory/K1-6 quests on GOG. $60 at full price but I'm sure it'd drop to the same price as this bundle during a sale? I'd only be missing stuff I don't want, and then I'd have it all on Gog..

    • You should get tier 1 though nevertheless. Absolute bargain and highly recommended.
