  • Is it Wavlink brand product or generic copy? There's pictures for both but you don't mention the brand name. Makes a difference for getting drivers if needed.

      Dear friend,
Please don't worry, this is wavlink official authentic products are certified, you can buy with confidence

  • According to Wavelink it's NOT a powered hub:

    • hi friend,
This usb 3.0 hub is Used for data transmission, does not provide charging function, thank you

      • Amazon specs say it's 240v which implies it includes a power-pack for the power…

  • +1

i failed to secure a workable wifi adapter for my desktop (long story) then i got inventive, dug out an old router and used it as a WiFi adapter under bridge mode…

  • Good for adding WiFi to computers that don't have it or adding 5GHz if you just bought a $20 2.4GHz network card like we did.

Don't buy this just for the AP mode though unless you need 5GHz. You can setup Mobile hotspot on most computers

  • Yo friend

  • Good stuffs. Please post more details. Tempted on the USB hub… Hmmm

  • Can it enable my TV to run off wifi?

  • I returned this tiny one and paid roughly $10 more for another Wavlink model one level up and the internet speed is much faster.

    Love it.

  • Wi-Fi wireless adapter work with HP mouse and keyboard?

Is 5GHz the same as 5G? In other words do these routers emit 5G?

    • +2

No. 5G (like 3G & 4G) stands for 5th Generation of the mobile technology. It functions in a completely different frequency than the 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz that wifi functions.

  • I had purchased the USB wifi adapter Feb-end for $14.95 and within 6 weeks it stopped working (the setup was easy and it worked well till it worked). Fortunately Amazon refunded me. Have ordered a different one this time so let's see how that behaves (this is for my kid's laptop and school this year had switched to AC only which my old laptop does not have).

    • How was the refund process ? Now I’m sceptical of buying one

      • It was thru Amazon so fantastic. Actually since it failed beyond 30 days I wasn't sure whom to reach out so first contacted Amazon in the hope they will direct me properly to the seller. But Amazon refunded instantly. Didn't even take more than a minute to chat. Used that credit to order another one (different brand).

if you have good record amazon will just refund something small like that.
          my best experience was:

bought a game console and the charger, amazon somehow shipped them separately. i said well i cant play without charger just cancel the charger please ($15). they said sorry just went out for shipping minute ago but here is the full refund for the charger, when it arrives just keep it as bonus from us.

  • Ozbargainers: Any recommendations on a reliable & cheap USB WiFi adapter? Need one for an old computer dusted off for school at home.
