It's $18 if you buy it with something else and the total is more than 25 GBP.

Note to self - don't buy on release date.

I've never seen a single clip of any Alien movie. Tempted to pick this set up because it feels like I'm missing out.

    • +4

Buy it. Watch the first two. Give the last two as a present to someone you hate.

Buy Alien and Aliens and get 2 Alien Themed Coasters Free.

    Deal!

  • This is Rumour Control. Here are the facts! Alien3 is a worthy addition to the saga.

PS regarding Amazon's 25 quid free postage, I assume this is 25 after VAT is removed. And does anyone know of any other good bluray sets I could throw in to get free postage? Ta

      That's not a fact. That's a personal delusion.

Even Resurrection is better than 3. Yeah, I said it.

This is so nuts. I mean, listen - listen to what you're saying. It's paranoid delusion. How - It's really sad. It's pathetic.

        • Dude, even the Director of Alien3 thinks it's shit.

Did IQs just drop sharply while I was away? You know, I… I expected more from you. I thought you'd be smarter than this.

        • +1

Damnit. I can't believe I missed it the first time. Kudos, sir.

        • I couldn't genuinely criticise someone with the good taste to like Alien and Aliens.

PS. Anybody have any bluray coasters of Alien3 (or even 4), I need some for my home theatre, er coffee table. Cheers

    • I don't know… SPOILERS Killing Newt and Hicks in the opening was a pretty shitty way to write off two fan favourite characters and something I've never forgiven Alien3 for, regardless of its other qualities.

Calling this an anthology is like calling Indiana Jones + Crystal Skull a quadrilogy. Something just not right about that.

      • There was a fair gap between Aliens and Alien3, I don't know much about the off screen goings on but I agree the of despatching Hicks and Newt was rather abrupt. While I miss Hicks as much as the next Marine, I think the mix of a good cast, a witty script, some scary Alien1 type atmosphere and the ominous Weyland Yutani made this a reasonable resolution to the story. Not that I've seen it for years and now I'll wait until I get around to buying the blurays.

    • I bought the X-Men set along with this a couple of weeks back to get free shipping. I'm very pleased with both.

  • I got it the first time round and got a GREAT foldout package, the second time I bought it for a friend and he got a CRAP THICK BLUE CASE..
    no thanks.

I see that someone has posted the CRAP case Pictures on the Amazon page.. check it out your self.. Not as nice as the original packaging

    • Sounds like the same difference between the Star Wars saga blu-ray.

The US got a nice foldout package, while the UK got a thick blue tray.

  • Just grabbed this with Serenity and Saving Private Ryan, which bring the total to 24.99 quid after VAT deduction … not bad at all :)
