Not the cheapest it’s been, but I think I’m going to give OzBargain’s favourite mattress a go this time. Fingers crossed!

There’s been a lot of previous discussion. Mostly positive from what I can tell. Search zzz and they will pop up
They're great for the first year or so but go to shit after that. Bought one beginning of 2017 and already needs replacing.
How’s the warranty support?
Their warranty terms and conditions are terrible so probably won't even bother and just replace it with a proper mattress instead.
@stanard: Each to their own, but not bothering is an odd way to proceed given the cost of not trying is a new mattress potentially costing $1000+
I think all of the mattress companies have difficult warranty terms.
@Vote for Pedro: You're right, but by the time I pay for shipping the old mattress back to them and shipping for the replacement, PLUS a portion of the current retail price it won't be worth it for a $300 mattress.
Then I'll probably just have to go through it all again in a few years time.
@stanard: Under consumer law you are entitled to repair, refund, replacement at no cost to you. So if they accept a problem, those are your rights. If they don’t, it gets a touch more complex, but that is the case with any company if they don’t accept fault.

@Vote for Pedro: Fair enough. But even if they do replace it for free I'll just have to go through it all again and be adding to the cheap mattress waste issue
https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2020/feb/12/mattress…
And regardless, their terms for a faulty mattress due to excess indentation is 3.8cm which is a lot. Mine is probably half that but still feels like shit.
@stanard: Sealy is 1.5 inches, koala is 2.5cm. Neither of these (substantially) more expensive brands would help in your situation.
@Vote for Pedro: I was quite happy with Eva mattress better than Koala
@Vote for Pedro: We have a Seally and the mattress is not what it should be long before you are eligible for a warranty claim .
Totally agree!
Yup. Barely 2 years and it's sagging and there was never any edge support in the first place
Unless it's a spare room, do not get one of these
I had to replace this mattress after a year, quality is very bad, gave me back pains.
Mine sagged badly on my side after about 4 months. Causes bad back pain, and I now sleep in a more upright position. I'm 85kg.
Girlfriends side is better, rotating doesn't seem to have any lasting effect.
Honestly, it seemed amazing at first, but I do regret buying 2 of them. I'm willing to give the ultra firm a go - on the assumption it'll soften a fair bit.
So no. I don't recommend this mattress
They don't last. Great at first but then it started sagging and causing me major back pain. Bought at the start of 2017, just recently replace it.
Never heard of them, but stacks of sockpuppet reviews here: https://www.productreview.com.au/listings/zzz-atelier-chirop…
The 'real' reviews seem to be people stating that it's great when you first get it, but not long after you buy it you get a fair amount of sag and it becomes too soft.
Each to their own, but if you're paying $300 for a mattress you can't expect it to be the same as a $2000 mattress (even though most of the reviews state the opposite!).
I'd be interested to hear from genuine previous purchasers as I am in the market for a new mattress for the spare room.
Is this $300 cheapy 'too cheap'?
I have similar thoughts….
You get what you pay for, ~$200ish for a Queen seems too cheap to be good…
Also one buys a mattress for 5-10 years, so I am just worried that this won't last and sag quickly.
Having said all that I hope people who actually owns one can prove me wrong.
I got
It for my son. He’s 11 and he loves it. I was thinking of giving it a try too, but it doesn’t have much support around the edges and I sit on the end of my bed a lot so that’s why I’m thinking to give it a miss
I’ve read lots
Of people on here get it and love it
I've had a single for about a year. Used as Kids bed. It's fine, and going well so far. There's not much edge support though - ie: sags if you sit on the edge.
It's comfy otherwise. I'd suggest it would be fine for the spare room for occasional use.
I bought a queen one of these in December, very happy with it so far. It's a little soft on the edges, but never have I once thought it's a bad mattress or that it's uncomfortable.
I use it. Quite comfy and no complaints
Got rid of mine after a couple of years. Was sagging and definitely not as firm
Got a king Noa mattress which starts off firm so probably will be right as time goes on. It's currently on sale.
do they take away your old mattress?
no
no
Nein.
Have one fancy (with remote, app etc) AH Beard 3500$ mattress for our room and have a zzz Atelier 200$ mattress in the other room. Trust me it is far more comfy. Not sure of the longevity though. But again I would be happy to throw it away in 2 years (arguement sake) and still would be cheaper than an expensive mattress which can be used for 10 years!
Have had a zzz queen for a couple of years in the spare bedroom and everyone who has slept on it sings its praise. A total use of a two to three weeks over a couple of years is not a real world test.
My concern is that how long will one last with everyday use.if it is 3 years and get a new one I would be happy with that. If they only last 12 months with everyday use then no deal.
I've had an Atelier queen size for two years and absolutely love it.
I'm 130kg and no sagging issues at all.
When I lie on it I feel like I'm in Heaven.
Hands down the best mattress I've ever slept on and would have no hesitation recommending them to others.
It takes a while for them to fully expand but after that it's just perfect.
Nightly use? I’m trying to decide whether to get their extra firm mattress or this one. Decisions decisions
Also have a queen that myself and my partner sleep on (total weight 130kg) and it's great. Bought in December and used nightly (and daily lol )
Extra firm. I have been using it for 2+ years and it's been far better than Snooze mattress which I had for $1500
The mattress I currently have is the Brick from OMF. Served well for 10yrs but is really ready for the dump.
Which one extra firm you're considering buying? Can you tell us URL? Thx
I have previously purchased the old model. Its a bit soft but I'm a big guy.
The firm ones don't have the pillow top.
Damn, mine sags horrible on my side - only took about 4 months - and I weigh 85kg.
Maybe I got a dud. I have actually got a second one, I might swap it and see.
Probably doesn't help my that my girlfriend sleeps on my side too…
Got a King size for a couple years already. Apart from well-known lack of support on edge, couldn't fault it.
Where are these mattresses manufactured? How do they compare to Sleeping duck?
Well. A sleeping duck king is $1599 and this one is $300. Apart from that, can’t comment. About to buy my first Zzz
Although I know sleeping duck has got Choice recommendations.
Long term use reviews here doesn't sound promising. Am not gonna take me chance, Guess I'll have to look elsewhere.
I ordered one for the spare bed room.
You don't want it too comfortable. Guests may overstay their welcome.
good point :)
I found this mattress is too comfortable actually. Your guests might overstay :P
Not a good choice and they have fake reviews. Go with someone else
Some fake reviews are here
I have a queen in my spare room and honestly its extremely comfortable but im unsure how they hold up with every day use
I have two mattresses from either end of the scale - a $2500 pure latex and a $300 from Fantastic furniture.
Of all the cheapies I've tried, the Fantastic was the best for the guest room. Have had it for a few years now with couples sleeping on it around once per week and it is great. I don't mind going for a sleep on it if the other half is snoring.
But if you are buying a mattress for yourself get a decent one. You spend more time on a mattress than any other single thing in your life. I will never buy anything other than all LaTeX again - virtually no compression over time means it gets better with age and will last a lifetime if you like a firmish feel. It's just a beech to move.
I've had one for about 2 years, and I'm really happy with it for the price that I've paid. I notice a lot of people commenting about issues with longevity. Honestly I find it super comfortable and prefer a softer mattress. However I'm a broke uni student and this is as good as it gets for me so idk
Recently purchased one of these for the guest bedroom and very surprised at the comfort and build quality for the money…
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/264532686155 Dream Lover
Price was $160 delivered for a queen size 10% off sale etc. It is inner spring which I prefer.
Have had a few naps on it and very comparable to our $1k store bought matteress.
How it would go as a every day mattress over time I could not say but even if it had half the life of a regular mattress you would be still in front.
These mattresses can have a little odour when unpacked. Best to leave in a ventilated space for a few days with a fan blowing across it. I would buy one again..
This code has expired; can someone please mark this expire thanks
Have had the queen one for about a year and a half now. Loved it at the start but I've noticed in the middle it has started to sag a fair bit.
Can anyone comment on the quality and longevity of this?
Looking to replace my queen size mattress which is long overdue…
