Now that the 12 months is up from that Huawei P30 Telstra Jb Hifi deal, what plan is everyone going to switch to? There doesn't seem like much in phone/plan deals at the moment. The s20 deal at JB is pretty average.
So should I port out to a cheap monthly prepaid and wait?
Or Port out and then join on the $45 telstra plan?
Personally, I would be avoiding making any changes to your service for a while. Ports across most telcos is having major backlogs and issues
I ported 2 sims from Kogan to Catchconnect Thursday AM - both switched in under an hour without issue, and this is the fifth change inside 12months (approx 3 months between ports).
did u go on that $14.90, 90 day plan? How are you finding the service?
We've been Sim hopping for 12months now. 90 days (or thereabouts) with Kogan, next 90 with Catch. For where we live and visit, both Voda and Optus are much the same.
Current Catch sims were $14.90 with $10 cashback. Hard to argue with $4.90/90 days with 60gb.
I went boost > amaysim > boost last week, no issues
I ported from Circles.Life to Telstra the other day immediately.
Funnily enough it was to a P30 from JB Hi-Fi.
I was in a similar situation and used various prepaid options (Boost, Amaysim, Kogan) until I another good value plan became available.
Have moved to kogan on the $4.90 90 day plan (after cash rewards) and bought an S20 on EPP after selling the P30 for $450
Can you port out a day or 2 just before the 12 months ends? Otherwise, how do you prevent getting billed for the next month?
I kept Telstra (had changed to Peace of mind plan) and cancelled my pathetic TPG home broadband. Managing with a vodafone dongle (Woolies deal of $35 + free $20 netflix card).
NBN is starting now only but am hearing NBN horror stories also so might just continue with Telstra or move to Vodafone Red+ plan.
Edit - Oh and yes the P30 is awesome phone. Upgraded to Android 10 this weekend and it's fantastic. Camera is super awesome.
I went from telstra to optus 3 days ago. Zero porting issues took 5 minutes. Just waiting for another decent telstra deal to pop up.
Boost probably and ride out another 12 months on the same phone.
