Thanks for the recommendation. Definitely good for us to know why we believe what we believe, and reading arguments from both sides can help that.
The argument from the other perspective would be The Reason For God: Belief in An Age of Scepticism
Also much thanks OP, been waiting for a Koorong sale. They don't go on sale very often.
This will be an unending argument that will last long past our lifetimes my friend. So I agree with OP; just as you recommended those books, there are countless other books that argue for the existence of God, e.g. the bible, and I could also kindly recommend you that in an attempt to expand your thinking. It is up to you whether you would like to read or not; in the end, it's your choice. I personally believe that God gave us all free will - the power to choose.
I read the bible for nearly 20 years in my church-going years. Very happy to have escaped that superstitious, closed-minded, bigoted place.
Then that's your life journey my friend, and your perspective on that place. I could say the same about myself: I read the Quran for nearly 21 years. Also very happy and joyful to have escaped that place. Everyone's got their own walk. Can you choose to respect mine?
@tacos4brekkie: In what way have I disrespected your walk?

Hi dm01, I think yours is a fair comment and as a Christian, I am glad to have read those books too. In fact, Richard Dawkins is sold on Koorong's website.
My one comment to you (and all skeptics) is simply this - not all Christians are 'blind believers'. Many of us are doctors, lawyers, professors, corporate execs and other well trained professions. Do you think we have not examined Christian beliefs as rigorously as you have? And even so - we still believe. Maybe there's more to it for you to respectfully consider.
Thanks mate, been waiting for 25% off over $120 as they only run it quarterly.
Koorong is still open instore? I thought all non esentiall businesses had to close?
jbhifi is still open
The reason JBhifi was allowed to stay open was it was selling comunications gear. Bookstores where forced to shut instore and only do deliveries by law so how is koorong still open in store? Thats illegal afaik.
good discount, but man I already purchased some books yesterday :(
