Looks like JB have restocked these online with limited stock. Not sure what that means but these are no longer available from retailers in Australia.

Thought I'd post for those that were genuinely interested in getting one instead of paying inflated prices.

Limited to one per customer and will assume this will sell out quickly so get in while you can.

One of the “mane” reason you would get one .

I think he's just foal of it

Built in Mods for Super Mario Odyssey & Built in Mods for Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Note they aren't actually mods, the device just inputs macros.

Here's a video by Austin John Plays, showing the function of the Switch Up Game Enhancer for Pokemon.

  • Thanks OP. Bought one. Looks like a bit of fun to play around with 😊

      Also bought one!

      • Ok arrived already! via TOLL courier trying it out. now. It works great with my Xbox One controller. Happy Days

  • I have a Mayflash Magic-NS, but can't seem to find any information on whether it can do mods too… Probably not

    • How do you find it?

    • No mods on that one.

If you don't need mods. This is an alternative.

  • Too bad there are no 8bitdo on the cheap

  • Are they adding more games? Those games.. Clocked 3 of the 4 ages ago. Don't need mods.

Can't update firmware means no eshop! Dealbreaker.

    • works for pokemon sword/shield too for shiny egg farming and watt farming, not sure why jb hifi didnt include that in the description

      • I know. But due to limitations on the firmware your console can have this seems like it's for Pokemon players only tbh

  • I bought a Mayflash for like 20 bucks yeeears go, seems like the better idea.

PS. yes, you can in fact use a Guitar Hero II USB 360 controller to make Mario do stuff. It's as bad as you'd think, but you can do it.

It's crazy that they sell these things when the Switch hardware is perfectly capable of connecting to those bluetooth controllers.
Homebrew already exists for it, Nintendo would just need to allow normal customers to do it and no dongles would be necessary.

  • This device also has a Pokemon Sword/Shield mod where u can auto shiny breed and auto-farm for watts.

they sold out around christmas last year and i flipped mine for $150 on ebay lmao

  • Not sure what I bought but I got it

  • Does this work with Animal Crossing? Want to get the missus a billion bells so I can get my Switch back.

  • Wish there was something like this that worked with all the consoles.

    • 8bitdo works with pretty much everything from what I've read.

      • Doesn't work with the xbone or ps4

  • Wonder how the "mod" function is behaving as it is essentially a macro function but seems to indicate it doesn't need a third party paired controller to work??

It would be easy for third party controllers as the dongle just pretends to interpret inputs.

    • Huh? Why would you need to pair anything. Presumably the dongle pretends it is the controller, if required (ie: if you have the dongle but don't actually have a controller paired)

  • Can this be used to play with multiple controllers? For example with two PS4 controllers or one joycon and one PS4 controller

  • Thanks! I just bought one. Way cheaper than eBay and Amazon too. Plus express shipping was only $4.99. Bargain
