  • IPX5 is basically just sweat resistance right?

    • Should also be fine in the shower (as long as your pressure isn't too high)

      • Was looking for something cheap for swimming. I only breaststroke and keep my head above water but I guess that's expecting a bit much for $20 phones.

picked up a pair. Earphone backups at work and for riding on the bike without the ear crush with the helmet.
God love being on prime. $59 well spent

  • Bought for one of the kids a month ago. Great value and quite nice sound.

  • should I get this over similarly priced TWS? don't mind cables.

  • This is great while it works. But mine died after 6 months. Sunvalley was happily sent a replacement without any hassle. But it broke again couple months. Ended up bought something more solid built like Bose.

  • bought, thanks.

Got mine the other day. Having used airpods (gen 1, battery dying hence why my foray into cheapies), here are my impressions:

    • Sound quality pretty good actually, nice heavy bass
    • Can't get a good fit with my ears - tried all 3 silicon tips extensively but one side keeps sliding out. Might just be me through.
    • The weight of the wire tends to pull them out as well, especially if you turn your head. When I go walking it gets a bit frustrating.
    • Mic pickup is clear but not very loud. Other parties find it hard to hear me.
    • Sizewise, they are quite big. You look a bit like a Frankenstein with these sticking out. But then again, airpods are pretty visible as well, so there.

I also quite like the convenience of having them dangling around my neck and putting them on whenever I need them, as opposed to airpods where I have to fish the case out of my pocket whenever I want to listen to something.

But ultimately… I don't think I'll be using them ongoing.

I also got a pair of Soundpeats Truedots the other day and I'm loving them so far.

Mic is a hassle on every wireless headphones.

    • I have 3 of these earphones, similar experiences:

      • Similar above, if you turn your head sometimes they fall out. Fix = manage the cable so it's loose and hanging over your shirt & not under
      • Fits perfectly for me so no issues there
      • Mic - Don't even bother to make calls, doesn't pick up crap
      • Battery - Lasts about 6 hours for media/songs which, for the price is amazing
      • Sound quality is pretty good again, for the price its very decent

Overall - I've recommended it to everyone for running/watching movies in the bed etc
The price you can't beat this value

      • Agree with your points, especially with the battery life.

Although unlike the airpods / other TWS buds, once you run out of battery, you can't sort of use one bud and charge the other.

        • Actually just remembered, when the earphones run out of battery. There's very little warning, you literally have like 10-15min tops before it's dead completely which I wasn't a fan of.

    • Thanks for your great review. What are the soundpeats truedots like for making calls ? I lost my AirPods which were great for conference calls and need to get something with top quality mic and decent sound quality.

    • Wow @cuteseal, love these headphones but I have the exact same issue as you regarding one side continually falling out (right side, mainly while running).

Do you find the same problem with other headphone brands? How did you find the fit of the Soundpeats?

      • I think it's more the silicon tips in general, however the weight of these buds and the pulling of the cord contributes to the problem.

The soundpeats also use silicon tips and do slip a little, although because they are much lighter they tend to stay in more. Though still not 100%.

In the past, I've used comply foam tips instead of the silicon tips, and they work amazingly well.

However I haven't had a chance to find some yet - make sure you get the right sized ones.

        • Ahhh cool, thanks for the tip! I'll try and find foam tips to replace them with.

Great set of headphones. Been using mine for about a year. Great battery life and decent sound.

  • also, they have flat wires for less to no tangling

  • Anybody know if these are better than the Arbily Y3 that were like $8 or 9 on OzB previously (the Arbily Y3 aren't bad at all)?
The problem with these black magic no wires earphones is that I'll likely lose em and so cheap is great. May pick up as spare.

  • Any possibility for a deal on BH055 headphones?

  • Anyone else disappointed by the quality of sound these produce? Mine have little to no base and too much treble. Apart from this they are okay for the price. Work well via Bluetooth.

    • It sounds like you may have truoble with the tips sealing. Try a larger size.

  • for some reason sunvalley sold more units then they had. Second pair was cancelled due to no stock. Disappointing that a business these days still sells stock they don't have.
