I thought it was just me. I liked that game a lot!
With TrackIR 5 and decent rudder pedals.
I use track ir and rudder pedals, but some very good pilots swear by the twist stick.
if you buy from the developer's website (keys won't work on Steam), other "Battles", mission packs and collector planes are also 75% off, Cliffs of Dover Blitz is like $6.24 USD.
the latest release "BATTLE OF BODENPLATTE" is 50% off.

Il2 BoS is possibly one of the greatest sims ever made. You just need a good joystick to get the full experience of ww2 dogfighting bliss!
