Shipping will take months in recent situation.

Or you will never get it. Ali Express keep on extending the delivery time and no option to raise a case for my order. Made a mistake paying by their payment systems where your bank can't help you either. In the end seller said will send again, 3 months down the track from the time of order, "claim time has lapsed" & Gone my USD$249. Shopback won't pay me for the cash back as they knew there was "an issue with order".

My most recent order was half the lenght of what I ordered and it is my word against theirs, very deceptive

Word of advice pay by credit card and record when you open the package

Most people don't have time for the BS that they put you through, buy local have peace of mind and support Aussie businesses!

      • +5

I agree with recording with video on the package when you open it. It makes your claim a lot easier.

The shipping time should return to normal now. I am still waiting for my order from mid-March with this backlog though.

I do want to support Aussie business but whe you see the price difference and the (lack of) available item it sometimes leaves you no choice!

Kinda long winded but Just to add:
I've ordered a backpacking item worth around $160 from (Yougle store) Aliexpress back in early November.

By late November, theTracking number I was given by the seller indicated its arrived Melbourne "awaiting clearance (Inbound)".

By January it still hasn't cleared so after numerous calls to auspost, I was advised that the item was never physically posted but more rather just a tracking number was issued by the seller to make it seem like the item was shipped out.

After many messages to the seller and getting none-answer answers, I raised a dispute with the seller through aliexpress, but because the tracking system indicated that the item has arrived Melbourne, aliexpress decided to sidewith the seller despite me providing proof from auspost that my parcel was never received.

After giving up on ever receiving my parcel, I did a credit card chargeback and got my sum back.

TLDR: With aliexpress always pay by credit card, if order never arrives within time frame and aliexpress customer service is lacklustre. Do a credit chargeback.

          @niviac

          Some good advice.

Ive ordered over 1100 items with Ali over many years, and over 99% have been received without incident.

That said, in recent months I've caught 4 sellers uploading tracking numbers that actually belong to other customers in other parts of Australia.

The strategy is that the Ali tracking page (which only shows basic tracking details) will show the parcels have been delivered and thus customers won't persue a claim (or such a claim will be rejected) .

Fortunately, by inserting the item number into the auspost tracking system you can see the location it was "loaded for delivery".

          Caveat emptor.

          • @ash2000: Similar situation here.
Only recently his dodgy situation has been happening… I was asked to make a refund via ali because apparently the corona situation means they can't ship out? But I didn't see it in time so they just put in a fake tracking.
Then I messaged them, got ignored… so I opened a dispute and lo and behold they reply asking for me to close the dispute and also asked for my paypal to put money in. after I give them my paypal then they say oh btw there's a 3-4% surcharge. Yeah no. I'm keeping the dispute open.

Yep. I've had quite a few of these. They ask me to cancel because no stock (they don't cancel the transaction as there is a penalty for doing so), but the listing stays open for other customers.

asking for me to close the dispute and also asked for my PayPal

Yep, ditto. I just say I don't have PayPal.

yeah same but after take the screen shot and complained, aliexpress refunded promptly.

I've had a few orders never arrived but after raising disputes have always been refunded promptly.

        • aliexpress are as shonky as hell - always more issues when coupons used I've found

    • I ordered some cabinet handles less then 3 weeks ago and got them today. Delivered on a Sunday too. So mmv

Gosh darnit! I had to pay full price for a last item in stock last night. I feel dirrty! It appears there's another sale tomorrow too.

Last time when I checked (without login), it popup a special and end up create an account and paid 0.44 for a $5 stuff.

  • +2

Not really a deal? Can't really justify such a small amount off given the long shipping/processing times.

  • Can we buy for example 10 items from 4 different stores and apply the coupon?

    • Yes, provided all items from different stores are part of the same order.

      How Coupons Work

AliExpress Coupons can be used in any store on AliExpress. You can use AliExpress Coupons on combined orders from different stores, but you can only use one AliExpress coupon per order.

      • Any idea if they work on shipping? Item I want (selected AU warehouse given the whole situation), is only $20AUD but comes with $40 shipping…
Do you know if the coupon on shipping included total?

        • Pretty sure coupon excludes shipping & GST.

I ordered a mainboard for a 3D printer in late March - It has apparently been sitting at a PRC airport since 5 April.

I won't be ordering anything else until transport is cleared up.

    • How do you know it's still at the airport?
Is the status of your delivery "Departed country of origin"? I've got an order that's been stuck on that for the last 2 weeks.

      • +2

Yep - I gather that means it has gone through outbound Customs and is waiting for a plane/boat/train/hot-air balloon…. whatever.

Same as when it arrives here but hasn't been Customs cleared…. it's not really here yet.

      • I have an item picked up by courier in 20 Jan and is departed Beijing on 24 Apr. 3 months to leave the country.

    • I ordered shorts in late Jan (just after the 40+C day in Melbourne), and it too has been sitting in "international transit hub" in Shanghai since April 5th - although it did originally go to Beijing
I've given up hope on them now (because they're useless until next summer), but would like to receive it eventually

One seller I bought from last week is asking for US$1 more now for shipping due to shipping price increase. They also give you the option to cancel the order if you don’t want to proceed. Another purchase I made in early March is yet to arrive.

  • Can anybody suggest any good LED light strip deals please?

  • Not working for me. Can't read the error message but it's something about only being available for buyers in certain countries.

    • +3

Getting the same error :( Have asked the mods to remove the deal.

      • +1

        Thanks for sharing anyways OP!
        Maybe next time 👍

  • Anybody else getting: "This promo code can only be used by buyers in specific countries."?
