It's exciting to hear that Coles is offering sashimi grade tuna @ $35/kg in 150 stores in NSW/VIC/QLD
https://www.abc.net.au/news/rural/2020-04-22/coronavirus-for…
But, have anyone actually found it?
I've been looking for it in a few stores, all I see is "fresh yellow fin tuna" steak at the Deli for the same price of $35/kg
They are not individually packed, and placed next to, overlapping with other fresh salmon steak
The lady kindly told me, nope, they are not for raw consumption.
So where can I find it in Melbourne SE?

It does say they’re sitting in warehouses unable to be sold.
It doesn’t say those high grade sashimi are the same as the yellowfin tuna sold at Coles.Caption of the 2nd pic in the middle:

Note mercury & PCB content of large fish.
Meh. Wife told me about out this. Lost in translation.
We went to our local Coles yesterday and couldn't find it.
YMMV
Saw it at coles Southland this morning, stuffed in between other fish varities on the open air ice - as a lover of sashimi, theres not a chance I'd be going at it raw.
Just give it a once over with hand sanitizer.
just curious what happens if you eat raw fish that isnt " high grade sashimi"
Sashimi grade fish means the fish has been deep frozen for period of time to kill parasites such as https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anisakis
Oh i see. Thanks
Yup only saw the yellow fin tuna sitting on ice.
News says high grade tuna but doesn't actually say sashimi grade.
