Value of discount aside, use collection of customer donation as a promotion measure is a questionable marketing tactics. Any eligible tax deduction (which can jack up the donation amount if the donor prefers) is either lost or “gifted” to the business if the donation is passed through (if it happens a) in the name of the business.

    • What? Yes donations are a marketing tactic, and a deductible, but considering it coincides with a pretty decent sale then I don’t agree with your logic here about it being questionable.

I don’t believe these guys wouldn’t pass on 100% of what they say they will donate. These guys are pretty legit as a company - bricks and mortar stores, Aussie brand (though made in China like everything). And they’re donating to the Red Cross (not some rando charity) so sounds to me like you don’t know them at all, and just negging first and making baseless assumptions?

And sure fashion is fashion, and this might not be your style or in your price range, but sale off RRP is a legit bargain - no need to neg.

What's the point of this promotion? Why wouldn't I just pay the minimum and donate the difference myself?

They match what you choose to donate

      • Ah! Makes sense, would've helped of OP mentioned that lol. Cheers

  • Is this a good brand? Their prices seem to run pretty high even after the sale

    • Better than mall-tier, but most of it is made in China for some reason and I've heard mixed reviews of their linen pants. For basics, you're better off with locally made items from Australian Stitch.
