This kiddie game has wide appeal amongst older professionals who started playing with their kids and still continue to play after the kids have long given it away.

Having played PoGo in Mackay, Townsville and Adelaide (and being involved in the discord chats for these communities - and I can provide invite links to anyone playing in these areas) I've watched communities come together, real life friendships being made and many joyful moments from this game :)

That's where your assumption is wrong. Some people can have dozens spawn every hour where they are, while others only a few.
Heh I don't think going out and play Pokémon go is essential or exercise activity.I'm glad they removed the Rhodes spawn point else cannot imagine people gather spread Covid-19 like crazy and occupy kids playground
Walking around and playing is exercise and can be counted as an essential activity. No worse than asymptomatic carriers exercising.
