Hi guys samsung S7 died last night and need a new phone today and am looking for reccomendations.
The S7 was perfect for what i needed and just looking for an equivalent.
Main things are….
Good GPS (if the A20 had good gps i would be all over it)
Decent camera (same quality as S7 would be good)
Good Batterylife.
Need to be able to get instore today.

Even if you bought it from Coles for $179 and unlocked it and the GPS had issues you could sell it easily on Gumtree for the same price.
I think this is what i'll do.
If you have a Tile device do not get the A20.
Its seems like the Bluetooth chip does not support a stable connection to the Tile device. You also get a lot of pauses when using Bluetooth headphones.
If you don't need Bluetooth functionality then this is a good device.
Are you saying that iphones have never had any technical issues?
I’m saying that very few of them do in my experience and if there are issues Apple has a 13 number and good after sales support.

Why dont you just go to a shop and have a look at what's out there first. At the end of the day your probbaly not going to end up with the one's we suggest as it has alot to do with your own taste and specs.

interesting, wonder if they did any software updates to fix it? I've got a family member with a A20 and another with the A30, both don't have GPS issues. I would recommend the A30, as the A20 is a little under powered unless they just want a 'smart' dumb phone, ie calls and text only, hence why the other one got the A30.
I've got an oppo ax5s. Got it when my s7 died. Works fine, GPS is good, battery life really good.

The Samsung S10E are out for $749 at a Harvey Norman and some other places. I went from the S9 to the S10E. I like it. Easy to transfer all your stuff over with the adapter in the box
… or just google photos and gmail and google play music and google drive, then no need to transfer anything over.
Except battery life is rubbish

My previous phone was a Nokia 8.1
I'm on the move all the time so I can't connect 240v or USB to a port on my body.
S10e is a nice phone with a puny silly battery.
how long did your s7 last before it died? my note2 died after 5yrs due to sudden death syndrome, so not keen to go with another Samsung.

Is GPS quality even quanitifiable? Is there any difference between high end and low end GPS chips or are all the chips identical and the operating system is the deciding factor so most negative experiences with GPS signal is all anecdotal and situational specific, not linked to any phone or brand
I've had Chinese imports that the GPS doesn't work. Most Aus stock shouldn't have these issues though.
It's just a chip that receives the signal, unless you have an antenna then not much more of an upgrade can be achieved
Well i got the $179 A20 from coles and couldnt be happier so far.
Can't have as many things running in the background as the S7 but for the price i wasnt expecting to be able to.
GPS has worked fine also.

Didnt unlock phone am with telstra anyway. Dropped my S7 for the last time screen went blank.
