Wow, thanks for this
Is a $220 saving not enough for you?
Where did you find it for $63?? They normally sell for $100+
Taobao
Great looking set. Haven't built mine yet.
Way overpriced set. This is about what the pre-discount price should be.
I too think this is an incredibly overpriced set with very limited play / rebuild potential. Essentially an ornament.
Don't get me wrong, I love the idea, and the characters look fantastic but it seems to be two medium sized houses a vehicle and four trees. I estimate in Lego City the houses would cost around $60 each max, with $30 for a Speed Champions vehicle, at rrp. From a set RRP of $350 that means those trees and licensing cost around $200. That's the bulk of the price of the set!
Perhaps Lego thought this had limited appeal, but if the set was half price wouldn't they sell more than twice as many?
I was wondering why on earth it was so expensive, if you look at the details it's 2200 pieces which is a lot (I guess lots of small pieces?) I thought it looked about the same size as some of the Hogwarts sets my kids just get, but they're only around 800 pieces when I checked. Something like the City mountain headquarters is $160 retail and only 660 pieces.
I think it's mostly those four trees though. Things nobody is really buying the set for, they facilitate the 'standing' but didn't need to be so elaborate.
I think sometimes Lego use number of pieces to disproportionately inflate the price. The Expert Creator sets always have high piece counts, but it's little embellishments like tiles to cover the floors or cladding on the houses. In those cases though, that's why people buy the Expert range. I'm not sure anyone looks at the Stranger Things set and says' "Woah, cool tree! And four of them!"
EDIT
I just noticed a lot of 1-star reviews on the Myer page mostly complaing it falls apart when the two halves are put together.
Thanks got one… have some gift cards I have to use by April, and I think its not the best idea to be holding Myer GC at the moment
Your giftcards have an expiry date?
Well it was a returns card - 1 year
Ah, you had me worried for a moment - I got $200 in gift cards for Christmas 2018 and still have $160 on them.
Still $120 shy for this set though.@sam buster: Double check the expiry just in case

@sam buster: You're assuming Myer survives Covid..
https://www.myer.com.au/p/lego-star-wars-bost-droid-commande… is a pretty good price too.
Check Toysrus eBay, both this and strange things would be cheaper, if you don’t have MYER gift card, go for Toysrus eBay.
$271.15 - https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/LEGO-75810-Netflix-Stranger-Thin…
but yes if you have myer gc - best to use them
Reviews not good for this build, it’s pretty unstable
