I mean.. You can get a 45 roll Kleenex from Amazon AU for $20.89. Big W has them for $19 with plenty of stock at my local store. Is it really worth going into Costco to pay $11 for 3 rolls. Yeah nah pass

    • Costco wins a little as it is $0.0024 per sheet.
No more $19 at Big W as the price goes up.
Much cheaper if you go to Costco as the price will be at least 30% off from its online shipping price.

3 rolls / $11 ? Where did that come from?

      • +1

Because the difference between the Kleenex 45 pack and the Costco 48 pack is $11 and three rolls.

  • +1

Wish it was the one you can choose half a sheet or full sheet

  • +11

Does this Kirkland Tp feel more like Kleenex or quilton? Kleenex is great if you want a finger up your bum.

    • +5

      Kleenex it is then!

    • It’s closer to Quilton.

      • +1

I think your finger will poke a hole through the Kirkland

    • +1

      So true

    • +1

The Kirkland is the best out of the three

    • I hate Kleenex for that reason.

Quilton, Sorbent and Kirkland are great.

  • +1

    $19.50 at Big W. https://www.bigw.com.au/product/kleenex-complete-clean-toile…

Otherwise you have Quilton 36 Pack on Amazon for $14

    Actually your mathematics are incorrect.
    Costco - $31.99 divided by (48 rolls x 270 sheets) = $0.0024683641975309. Gotta round up my friend. That's $0.0025 per sheet
    BigW Kleenex - $19.50 divided by (45 rolls x 180 sheets) = $0.0024074074074074.
    Amazon Quilton - $14 divided by (36 rolls x 180 sheets) = $0.0021604938271605

Not even factoring time wasted lining up at Costco plus fuel used to drive there. Took me 5 seconds to buy my toilet paper off Amazon on Tuesday.

Sorry mate. Might want to recheck your mathematics.

    • Yup. Failing to see how this is a deal. It's just usual price?

I was thinking these silly TP/sanitiser/hand wash posts would start to fade away but obviously not.

      • +2

Stock is starting to stay on the shelf so TBH i think we are about to wipe this issue away :)

      • The last time I purchased it from Costco it was $23.99. The $31.99 is including delivery, it looks like they add a delivery charge to every item you purchase.

        • Yes, Costco online every item is 'delivered' and the item includes postage costs so for a big order its not good value, for one or two things, not too bad

      • +1

Must be a fortnight lag time, similar to the infection/fatality lag for C19.

        • lol

      • No need to stop and waste time commenting then

    • +1

Actually, its $23.99 in store at Costco so that works out to be $0.001851 per sheep. But yes its very convenient to buy from Amazon buy if you are going to Costco anyways then its the cheapest.

  • +1

I rarely find Costco to be cheaper than the cheapest options widely available elsewhere.

  • +5

We love the quality of Costco toilet paper. Happy to pay the additional $8 for delivery as it's cheaper than petrol + tolls.

(We were planning a Costco trip this weekend, but didn't know whether there'd be any stock… last three times we went, there's been nothing.)

    • Yes we love this toilet paper too and due to our age/health we haven't been out for a month so am happy to pay and buy this. We buy everything online where possible and just ask family to do what we can't possible get done.

  • Interesting that this is now being sold online. Probably another signal that supply is starting to outpace demand.

    • Supply is catching up for sure. Colesworth shops in Perth I've recently visited have had stacks of it throughout the shop.

  • +3

Should be mandatory to include a cost per 100 sheets in every TP deal.

  • +1

48 Pack Kirkland Toilet Paper Moorabbin Costco is $24.

  • It is the best toilet paper by far. It's thick and soft. Perfect for those who have sensitive bums.

  • +2

If I hadn't just bought a pack of quilton I'd be all over this. Hopefully it's available when I go through that. Costco tp sheets are much larger then quilton and kleenex. Not comparable in my opinion. $32 is worth it (including postage). Cheaper then driving.

  • Used to be fans of quilton for years. After tried kirkland, it is less powdery* compare to quilton.

    • Agreed. Taking into account the cost per sheet is one thing, but Kleenex is a woeful toilet paper in comparison to Kirkland. Quilton isn't so bad though. Having used all three extensively I can say without a doubt that Kirkland is the best one, especially when it comes to "Two finger salute mitigation".

That being said, I'm not very far away from my Costco and already have a membership. If I weren't in that boat I'd certainly go for the Quilton.

  • +2

What is "bath tissue"? Do you use it in the bath or something? Like if you forgot a towel? Do they mean "Toilet paper"?

    • +3

Yes it's an Americanism. They mean toilet paper but the word toilet is vulgar.

      • i like shower tissue better

  • i'd be careful buying this instore. these comes in 4x packs of 12. at Liverpool and auburn last week they were cutting the main plastic packaging and separating it into 4 individual packs. because you were only allowed one packet limit, so you would only get 12 rolls. where a single pack of 36 roll quilton was available. I saw a few people walk off with the larger 4x12 rolls only to be told at registers they could only buy 1x 12 roll pack

unless the supply has increased that much they have stop separating then It'll be ok to buy instore.

    • Costco Perth has limits of 1x 48 pack or 4x 12 packs. Maybe this has rolled out to other stores now?

    • Epping had the larger packs with a limit of 1 per membership.

  • Costco rolls are bigger and will not fit into the roll holders(storage)
Best value is woolworths 3 ply. If available.
    Prefer quilton.

    • What sort of roll holder are you using? They fit into ours just fine…

    • You know we have the Costo army, then the Aldi army. Boring

  • Like others have said, this is the best toilet paper by far. We were desperate a few wks ago and we’re given a pack of Aldi Confidence toilet paper. Man it felt like I was wiping with a hand towel, not soft at all.
