Cheapest Place to Buy Gundam?

Hi all,

Recently I've rekindled by interest in Gunpla (Gundam model kits) and I'm keen to get a couple of kits but with a sort of strict budget. So it would be awesome if I could get some advice on where to pick some up! The only store I've bought stuff at before is HobbyCo so would be keen to hear about other stores!

  • When I was still building I sourced mine ebay (around $30 for Real grade kits delivered).

$30 for a Real Grade kit sounds like an absolute bargain! Do you happen to know from which eBay seller you got em from?

      • That was 4-5 years ago, just had a look, prices seem to be higher now.
Can't help with sellers sorry, I just searched for what I want and chose the cheapest.

  • I'm looking at Mr Toys Toyworld. They had cheaper 40k stuff and they have sd gundams at $12 upwards. normal ones rage from $30 - $80 odd for 1/144 scale zaku, gundam mk2, wing etc. Buying from here ensures you get genuine kits and you can get tools as well.

  • keep an eye out on ebay's 15% and 20% sales, a few hobby stores usually takes part in those sales ie frontlinehobbies and metrohobbies (they have physical store fronts as well).

even better if you have ebay plus as you will get free shipping. I got the MG Gundam NT-1 2.0 in a recent sale, and it worked out to be a few dollars cheaper then buying from Japan.
