This is the new Neckband noise cancellation earphones released in Jan2020 by Sony not to be confused with WH-1000WM3(Over the ear) or WF-1000WM3 (True wireless buds).

I've been thinking to replace my BOSE QC30 with these pair. From the reviews the Sony one has better noise cancellation thanks to the same chip used in WH-1000WM3 and better sound quality with ldac. However, it may not be as comfortable as QC30 due to lack of shark fin earbuds for extended period of wear.

But this price is definitely a bargain!

  Some may read this quickly thinking that these have the same NC as the WH-1000XM3's but just remember that they have better passive nc due to it being headphones.

  I have a grey pair (2018 or 19 model maybe) from a deal on here $199 (JB, maybe this deal but in grey https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/493703). I use them on an 18HP rideon mower, and they work really well. Wish they had the ability to skip a track though. I can still hear the mower but its significantly (and surprisingly) quieter, and sometimes I can hear the root or seven I hit. If I bend up the sacrificial metal plate on the front of the base plate and the blades start hitting it, its there but eerily dull. Id say they cancel outside noise kind of alright. I have turned the noise cancelling off by accident and noticed the mower etc was louder. I only use them for this purpose.

  Im no audiophile, but the sound is good (clean, loud and bassy enough when inside your ear). Hope that helps.

    Wish they had the ability to skip a track though.

    if you double tap the Play/Pause button it will skip a track forward.

  cost so much for neckband style earphones

  battery would last longer

  but buds are just better and more convenient

  no magnetic buds either?

  so they just flap about when not plugged into ears?

  if thats the case, pass.

  I changed over to this (first gen) as they are more comfortable for long hours using them while wearing glasses. And these are the only ones I found that can plugin to headphone jacks/in flight entertainment of this form factor.
