Can I please have some help from ozbargainers?

I have a UberEats credit.

I've never used UberEats before and their FAQ is not good.

  1. I think for the first time user UberEats give $15 with the correct code
    Are there more promo codes that give more
  2. Can I combine my credit with the $15 on my first order?
  3. Can I pickup an UberEats myself? Does it save on the service charge?
    How do I know which restaurant/cafes have pick up?
  4. Can someone recommend a good dumpling place in Hornsby(NSW) and Burwood(NSW)?

    1. We’re grateful for just a free delivery promo. $15 promo seems reasonable.
    2. You should be able to, look at the checkout/review page before ordering, it will give you a price breakdown.
    3. You can pickup, different restaurants different rules. You save on delivery fee. You need to check this on the app using the search filter or selecting each restaurant.
      You might save more calling the restaurants directly since UberEats pricing are higher.

    You should know most meals on the app are 20-30% higher than at the store.

    This applies for pick ups too.

    If you want to pick up, better to check online for the store website/phone number and then call them.

      Cutting out the middleman (Uber) is better for both the customer and the restaurant!

      Not always the case. the three places we use charge the same in store or on uber.
      The only diff is that if we use Uber we pay for delivery

    ING has been offering free delivery this month, so started using it for the first time. ordered a 6 pack of beer once and last night we got some Fish and Chips. I wouldn't ever use it without this deal tho, my $14 fish and chips would have been $21

    Order direct from the outlet so they don't have to pay Ubereats 30% commission.
