I went to the Lenovo website to buy the Lenovo Thinkpad e495, and it shows after instant savings and the ecoupon that it’ll cost $799. I added it to cart and it showed as $879 (price after instant savings), so I tried to apply the ecoupon and the price went up. Problem was, the subtotal price was at $1170, even before I applied the ecoupon. After the ecoupon it only went down a bit. What is this scam?

For me, it comes up as $879.45 estimated total after skipping any configuration, then after I activate the coupon it's $799.50.
