Seems like the vineyard had always been organic, but now they are certified, so maybe the sticker costs $2 extra, plus AUD not doing so well either.

A lot of the time, awards are given like participation awards, or there are so many categories that every wine gets a medal.
Eg. Best regional Adelaide wine with a particular type of grape between 7 and 8 dollars.
In this case, the award(s) mentioned here are for the winery in general, not this wine.
Both the white label superior $4.99 as well as the black label reserva $6.99 offer great value everyday
drinking. These two are different blends with the reserva being a vintage 2014 ( 6 yr old wine ) and is a smooth easy drinking wine hard to beat if you like this style.
Aldi has many vague half baked awards ( some even in house ), but they do come up with the odd cracker and most of their wines offer great value for money.

It's a pity Queenslanders are not mature enough to be allowed to buy alcohol at a supermarket. However on the good side, being a Nanny state, I just ring the government when my arse needs wiping….

I believe this cost $4.99 before, but that wasn't "Organico". 40% extra now that its Organico.
