You're right! They fixed the price after i bought the item. hahahhahaha. I still got the screenshot here. I don't know if they will honor this transaction to me.

    • Since it's no longer available, I'm marking this as expired.

Damn you guys are dangerous :P

Yes as noted, it was a mistake and it has been fixed.

Unfortunately we have cancelled the orders that were placed and will be issuing immediate refunds as per our Terms and Conditions: "If an error is made or a product is listed at an incorrect price, J&W Computers shall maintain the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed. If the order has been confirmed and charged to your credit card, J&W Computers shall immediately issue a refund."

    ah damn, lame

  • +1

Well a +1 for spotting it even if its fixed still counts. We will get them one day when they least expect it.

  • another dell bashing?

    • +2

Ubisoft is a HUGE company. JW? not so much..

        • +4

J&W's rep is no worse off (and may be a little better as at least they communicated properly), least with me. You're just sulking

        • +3

A copy of software incurs no direct costs. Ubisoft did not lose money from doing that, they just failed to potentially earn more money.

Physical goods on the other hand, if sold too cheap, will incur an actual loss. You can't compare the two.

    • +3

plus games are digital property and the games were in house development and they could cope the loss.

JW are buying these from elsewhere and do not set the price for these, Sandisk does.

A more comparable scenario would have been if Sandisk sold these directly and they didn't honour the deal because they could cope the loss without huge losses

Guys, mistakes do happen, but we understand that it took time to place these orders and although we have cancelled the orders and issued immediate refunds, we have given each of the affected customers credit to use on other purchases as a sign of goodwill.

Can't wait for someone to now have a whinge about how you did it on purpose so as to get people to visit your site/get their personal details. :/ Then again this was not as popular as the Zavvi pricing error.

        • +1

lol, it would be a bad type of advertising. it might be good, if they offered us a decent price, but even the deal says "Usually the price range 470-550", when this is at $599, so really theyre just apparently a rip-off anyway

        • The price, indeed, sucks a chicken. :) (*hint* *hint*)

        • +1

          Don't you mean rooster?

        • +1

but it wasn't half price, they forgot to add a 9 to the end ie Typo. These guys didn't advertise this price anywhere other than their site.

Hardly Normal are b@stards anyways so it doesn't count. There's a big difference between a Typo and a genuine retracted deal.

While Ubisoft has spent time, money and resources on the digital product, none of them cost more than $500 even at rrp. Look at steam where their deals are at ridiculously low prices, seems that is a sustainable price for them. Ever seen mass consumable products drop as much in price, (exclude the touchpad), no because it can't/won't work.

        • +3

Sorry I had a pricing error. My tissue wasn't free, it's actually $100.

          No I don't want it back…

          :)

Exploiting somebody's mistake is disgraceful. Completely lacking in class.

I'm guessing you don't like candbury chocolates
TBH I have no moral stance on typos, if they honour it, fair enough. If not meh!
