Does it do 18Gbps? 4k60p with Dolby Vision?

It's high speed so technically yes however I had issues with a few of them. Others have had no problems however.

      • It would appear mixed success based on reviews. Some people working fine, others 4K at 30hz only, others cable fails after a period.

        • I’ve had display corruption issues with 4K HDR on my Apple TV with these. Definitely hit and miss.

          • @davemac: I used this to connect Nvidia Shield to my LG C9 …. the NVIDIA shield prompted that TV supports Dolby Vision and do you want to turn it on. I selected YES … and poof the display turned blank on the TV…. tried quiet a few things… and then swapped this cheap cable out with Amazon Basics… and everything worked perfectly.

            So i wouldnt recommend this.

        • I've also been having occasional dropouts (blank screen) from Apple TV 4K using Dolby Vision to my LG OLED using these; just received a replacement from Selby (https://www.selby.com.au/cables/hdmi-cables/hdmi-cable-high-…) and will test later.

          • @theMoebius: I have the Selby cables connected to my C9 and ATV 4k. No issues

            • @Gavsta: working with Dolby Vision?

              • +1

@steve84: Yes, Dolby Vision. Connected to Hdmi 2 if that makes a difference

            • @Gavsta: Can vouch for Selby. Good value HDMI v2(not 2.1) cables

  • High speed, low drag?

    • For operators only.

    • Low drag in a wind tunnel

  • Have you the op been to Officeworks before? This price is 10 years old

  • High speed HDMI - so the picture will get to my TV quicker than normal? Doesn't electricity move at the same speed regardless of the type of cable?

    • Higher speed hdmi can transmit data faster. Useful if you want to output at higher resolutions and refresh rates.

      • Ok but how fast does it need to be? If the picture takes 2 seconds longer to reach the TV does that really matter?

        • "High speed" is marketing dribble for higher bandwidth ie. higher rate of data. Presumably it supports 10Gbps transfer.

  • Thanks op, given away too many cables lately. Grabbed a few and postage was only about $6

  • It's always been this price.

  • 5 minutes research would indicate that chances are you will get the same result with cheap cables as with expensive ones.
In any case it will only cost you 4 bucks to find out.

    • A while ago I started buying the cheapest cables I could find rather than anything else, usually from eBay or Amazon.

So far one has stopped working after buying many cables.

    • My 10 meters cable disagrees with that.

  • thanks thumb guy

  • Ugh I need this. I don’t have to brave the outdoors only for my local one to be sold out

  • Price has now gone up to $5.48.
