WorldMark (Club Wyndham?) - Anyone An Owner?

Was talking to a client today and he swears by this semi-time share sort of thing. Has been in it for 10 years or so, he gets 10,000 points a year and says it is heaps. Has anyone here dealt with it? Seems to be some cheap buys on gumtree at the moment ($3kish for 6000 points).

What can I expect for 6000 points? The website is obviously designed to get you to talk to a salesman rather than provide any actual info.

Crazy idea, run away. When I lived in Spain, I knew many people in this industry, please don’t get involved.

It is just a money pit. Been offered $200 to attend their presentation.
Their structure just not substantiable if no more new people join. The maintainance fee is just rip off.

  • Good info all, thanks, nothing was mentioned about these extra fees, thought it sounded like a "too good to be true" thing, but couldn't find the details.

    • It’s all in their PDS.

      • Couldn't even find that on the atrocious website.

        • Bottom right on their website.

@Richfield: Cheers, just had a very quick look, looks like they want about $20k for 6000 credits, so when people are willing that for $3k, shows it's probably a really bad idea.

Edit - current minimum buy in is 12,000 credits at only $39k 🤣

The maintenance fee alone is way too high. I think the more points you have, the more maintenance fee you pay.

If you buy points and use them for a holiday that should be ok - but you have to find out what they get you

But dont invest in a timeshare

  • My uncle was stupid enough to get suckered in to it.
    Do not do it.

  • Buy second hand not from the developer. I would want a minimum of 13000 credits. If you use it every year it is reasonable value for money but only if you buy second hand. For 13000 credits you can get a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom at Kirra beach in school holidays for 7 nights. Yearly maintenance levies for 13000 credits is approximately $1100. Hence, I think $158 per night for 3 bed /2 bath during school holidays represents reasonable value.
