If used, how old is it?
How much is the deal you're looking at?
What is your budget?
What are you planning to use your laptop for?
How urgent is it e.g. need to pick up from a store today, or happy to wait for shipping?

New, $1500/$1600 max. Just general use and photo editing, will wait for shipping as isolating.

Assuming you're looking at the current MacBook Air that starts at $1599 (Student pricing available for $1439 if you're eligible)
It depends on the software you use for your photo editing (I'm not too knowledgeable about that, sorry) but chances are you can get Windows laptops with comparable specs at a lower price but some trade offs (e.g. lower-res screen compared to MacBook Air). If your software is MacOS only then obviously you have no choice. Otherwise, it might be worth looking at some Windows laptops as well.
You'll have to spend another $50-$100 for a nice usb hub since apple has been removing a lot of the hardware connectivity.
Zephyrus G14 is my next go-to laptop. R9 4900HS is just too good.
Any store actually stock these though?
