There was an oversupply of mince meat since two weeks ago. I got 4 packs of 500g beef/pork for $2-3 each.
The mince beef at OP's location expires 17th so it could be $2 when gets closer.

I havea friend that's getting her freezer delivered tomorrow, which she ordered a month ago during the peak of hoarding.
So many order freezers they were on back order.
Will have to check guntree to see how many new freezers are for sale

Is mince beef expensive af in NSW or something? $8/$9/KG is pretty normal for 82% mince beef where I am
Good price for the top one, lean beef 10% fat. The bottom shelf is the cheap one 18% fat, both for same price.
Had Coles Regular Mince $6 for $4. Quality has gone down. Wonder if different supplier or just poorer quality to cope with increase demand?
Cooked up some Coles mince other day.. have never seen so much fat come out of mince ever!!
Go for the premium mince or forget it..I know a manager at an abattoir in NSW and they said that Coles have been ordering low quality trim that they would never have considered before due to demand. That explains the crap quality.
Saw $3 for 1kg regular and $3.75 for premium on Thursday.
