Just wondering if anyone knows about the bockwurst sausages sold in ALDI?
I used to get them but slacked for a few months (at least 6months) and now I just can’t find it.
Does anyone knows whether or not they’re discontinued? Or are they just having issues for supplies?
Just curious and hoping that it’s not discontinued.

Ah- doesn’t sound very good then..
I’m hoping they’ll be back as I’ve never actually tried them. I had been meaning to for ages but usually wait for the Plumrose ones to go half price as I perceive the tin can as being a bit safer than glass for camping trips.
They are in stores around Oktoberfest time.
They are seasonal. Expect to find them aug/September until sold out.
We bought it all throughout last year though and they used to be restocked weekly-ish. Always had stock between the cocktail and normal sized.
Based on my earlier google search, it did bring up October fest catalog of 2008. But for the last 2-3 years I could always buy it on random times Of the year.
So, I don’t think a special. It was a permanent item. Nevertheless, it could’ve all started from the weekly specials.
I'm clearly late to this sausage fest.
Is this a (slightly questionable) protein source in a jar?
I can imagine lots of uses especially in these times.

I would definitely rate it as better than spam. The bockwurst need not to be cooked on the fire. instead, it’s submerged in hot (not boiling - if I remember correctly) water for 5 minutes. And it’s then, ready to be consumed. We loved it!
All German sausage is good with mustard, never tomato sauce. I like adding cheddar cheese.
Boiling water will spilt them, which defeats the purpose of the flavour combo cooked within the skin.
I am quite enjoying the BERG German-style Cheese Kransky in the refridgerated section ATM.
My Mom goes for the Knackwurst?
Can be frozen pre or post cooking if necessary, if an expiry date looms.
