Hi,ozbarginers
I am looking for a cheap petrol lawn mower to fix my garden, but must be new.
Does anyone know about that? and also which brand is best in this range (less than $300)?
Thanks everyone:)

The cheapies use Chinese Honda-copy engines. Given a oil change after 10 hours, these will be OK for occasional (domestic) use for quite a few years. Since these clones are almost all the same design, the engines are the least of your worries… the wheels , catcher and handle parts are the things that will be difficult to replace in the future.
Bunnings often have the Pope on "special" - they have a Briggs and Stratton motor, so theoretically parts will be easy to get.
Also the Kmart "Gardeners Choice" (rebadged Sanli) is quite good. There's good info in this short thread (2 pages) on Whirlpool…
Thanks mate
Less than $300.. Go to KMart they have a 4 stroke one there for around $260 and it looks fairly decent qulaity too.
My dad got old one on the street, he fixed it and is working now :P
Why does it have to be new?
Get guinea pigs, they will keep your lawn trim.
