Anyone have issues with Belong MMS

Is anyone having any issues with Belong, sending and receiving MMS's on their phone?
Texts and Data all good, have standard Telstra APN's in which have worked fine up until just today.
My samsung on belong is doing it, wifes xiaomi on belong doing it too.
Tried messaging people on other networks with no luck.
…and yes… i have tried turning it on and off again before anyone asks

  • I had that problem back then. It was weird. Also was on a Samsung. No issues after I moved to full Telstra.

    Who uses MMS these days?

    There should be MMS settings on the phone, double check they are correct.

    • The old people we communicate with sadly.
      But I have been all over the phones and surprised if they both changed on a whim

  • 2 phones in our house having the same issues today but both are with Aldi also on Telstra network. Any ideas about how to resolve it please? Text and data are fine just no MMS.

    • Sounds like similar issues. Wife and I have both lodged a work order with belong today, so we will see what they come back with.
      Aldi and belong get the sale Telstra deals I believe.

  • On Aldi Mobile and have same problem on 2 phones here as well. On their end I suspect.

  • hi, I just joined to comment on this, we have 5 Belong mobile accounts all using Samsung phones and cannot send or receive mms messages. It only started on the 10th, we have also tried at different locations to make sure it's not just our tower that we can't connect with. Any help sorting this yet?

    • I can only see that it is a problem with them
      Between wife's new phone Xiaomi, the old iPhone and my galaxy s8 (all working before) I can't see it's anything that we, or an update could have done.

      I have tried applying belongs recommended APN settings on all the phones with no luck.

      Will keep you informed when we hear something back from them.

  • I'm having the same problem. I can send MMS messages but not receive them. Everything else seems to be working ok. I'm on an Oppo phone and I have also tried applying Belong's APN settings with no luck.
    I've also lodged a service order with them and am now waiting for a response.

    Looks like the issue has been sorted for those on Aldi Mobile. All MMS's that were sent over the last few days were received last night albeit in the middle of the night but have finally arrived. Hope it's the same for all.

    • Belong seems to be partially fixed. I received a rush of MMS messages this morning from the last few days. On testing again with new messages this morning, they are extremely delayed with some still to arrive. Extra traffic due to Easter is probably not helping much I guess, but at least we have made some progress!

      • Same here. Feels like it's punishment to using the budget carriers haha… otherwise belong has been a dream to be with.
        Haven't heard back from belong support yet… but will update when I do.

  • I’m with Belong on a Samsung phone and I haven’t been able to send or receive mms messages all day today. SMS and data both working fine and APN’s all appear to be normal.

    • Just manually inputted Belongs APN settings and no luck there either.

      • I heard back from belong today and the gave the usual of restarting my phone and trying SIM in another phone…then closed the job on me.
        I emailed them back with all the info I have gathered along with a link to this thread hoping they can help us all out.
        I'll report back when I hear more

        • There is a guy on the Belong FB page stating that there has been an outage with Telstra Wholesale for the last couple of days which has now been rectified. I just did a couple of test MMS from a relative's Telstra phone to my Belong and they came through straight away so hopefully it is now fixed. I'm still waiting for a response to my service request with Belong.

            I have been getting messages through here and there. But have been able to send some consistently now.
            Hopefully the end of it!
            Oh the price we pay for super cheap phone coverage haha

  • MMS beginning to trickle in on Samsung with Aldi Mobile over the last 2 days albeit between 2am and 3am both times. My theory is network was being overloaded from people all being bored at home. Only time i've had a problem in 3 years on Aldi Mobile.
    Anyhoo all seems ok, sending and recieving as of now. Fingers crossed. Cheers

  • Never heard back from belong so far.
    Missus said there was a mums aldi group on FB that said someone managed to get a hold a aldi tech rep who said there was a glitch of some sorts but seeing as it was a long weekend… noone was working over Easter to fix the issue. Not sure if it's true or not… but other than this one issue, we and 6 of the family members on belong over tyhe past few years have never had in issue.
    Hope everyone else gets there phone mms sorted soon

  • After having the matter escalated with belong… we have an answer. See below.

    Hi,
    Unfortunately we had a network disruption over the long Easter weekend that would have impacted your ability to send/receive MMS messages. We have now identified and fixed the root cause to this problem. Please let us know if you continue to experience difficulties when attempting to send MMS messages by responding to this Support Request.
