Target was 50% off at beginning of April. All the stock was gone when I went back few days ago.

If anyone needs some feel good food right now, it's healthcare workers.
Eggs, and all Easter related confectionery, were 50% off in The Reject Shop near me 3 weeks ago.
Some stuff was half price already at woolies the other day.
Coles an Woolies previously was Easter Monday 50% off and progressive by day. This year may be different but I doubt it. Kmart and target are now a different group to Coles and are of a much lower volume than the 2 supers. So may have had a crap load they needed to shift.
Lower selling stuff would be promoted throughout the standard promotional cycle though.

When there is Greek easter in a different date prices tend not to crash.
Most eggs in Aldi are discounted!.
80% off chocolate is not one of the 16 reasons to leave your house.
Maybe they're asking so they can do their weekly/fortnightly shop when the prices drop, they don't want to go out more than once and they don't want to miss out on the good stuff, so they're planning ahead.
