There is heaps and heaps of stock so no need to make special trip or panic buy.
The supply finally seems to have caught up with the demand, so hoarders, bulk buyers, Gumtree resellers, price gougers…. Up yours!

Still better than buying in bulk $99/ 5 Litres, that I spotted at one of the local shops yesterday.
It is not, little convenient pocket bottles of the stuff were ALWAYS $2-something.
This is standard price for that size 🙄
If there heaps, why is it $30/litre - nope this is still price gouging.
Vacuous comment of the day ^^
I hope you never fill up your car at the servo 'cause their price per litre is an absolute GOUGE compared to that of a barrel of crude!
Better comparison, would be ordering a barrel of e85, rather than using the pump that was delivered by the tanker load.
Mmm I think it's normal price for 100ml. Lol. It's in small containers.
If you want to carry a 5l pack around, sure go ahead
Applies the same logic to toilet paper
Why is that worth a neg?
This isn't a bad point.
I'm truly afraid for India. I dont think sanitiser alone is going to cut it. The (in)ability to isolate there… scary.
@justtoreply: One thing in India's favour is that the population isn't that old. Italy had an average age of about 45, I had a huge over 65 population. India the average age is 27ish, with only a about 5 or 6% over 65. India is going to be in strife but may not see the same huge death %, even though it lacks the per capita medical equipment Italy had.
I had a huge over 65 population.
How on earth do you fit them all in your house? The smell must be other-worldly.
@Miami Mall Alien: Like Musk sticks and death.
alcohol content not revealed. dodgy
The pharmaceutical industry in India was valued at US$33 billion in 2017 and generic drugs account for 20 per cent of global exports in terms of volume, making the country the largest provider of generic medicines globally.
if not for quality Indian generic drugs many poor countries can't afford the American pricing
Waiting for a 'Made in Wuhan' one?
What ?
DO YOU PREFER MADE IN CHINA ???
wish we had them in VIC their prices are always so good, i mean 1kg yoplait vanilla $2.79 thats very good
their meat is always at good prices as well when i see them around
The yoplait I bet is a bit of a loss leader/super bulk order. No other shops sell it that low lol
yeah can't say iv ever seen it that low, maybe NQR has had it a few times
No alcohol % listed = no deal
Indeed, some of these hand sanitisers add only a minor percentage to aid in drying. This may or may not be the case here, but without knowing I wouldn't be buying.
The magic numbers as we all now known are Min 60% ethanol or Min 70% for isopropyl.
It doesn't state what the percentage is which means Nope from me too. Looks like it uses isopropyl.
Red dot next door had heaps the other week. $35 for a litre. 70% ethanol.
First ingredient so you know it’s mostly alcohol, put a bit in a safe are and see how easy it is to set fire to, if you can’t light it then I would suggest passing
spudshed was the first to offer trolley wiping and hand sanitiser.
woolys did it last, and then only sometimes.
woolys does not observe space restrictions.
so the biggest profiteer does the least - very Australian.
While im sure you're right for the first part; they now have professional security at the doors to make sure space restrictions are met.
If idiots stand too close, once inside? Thats on them.
It's bull shit that supermarkets basically excluded themselves from social distancing for at least 2 weeks. Who let it slide? Only now that it's not as busy are they setting up for social distancing.
They didn't "excuse themselves"… What else are they meant to do?
yeah I month late - still no sanitiser or trolley wipes
Quality product. The label looks like it was printed on a bubblejet and they CBF putting it on straight.
If they can afford to run a bubblejet, They're clearly doing OK!
Never mind that — they use Comic Sans on their label!
Thats a lot of Big Dck Energy for sure; now I actually do want to support them!
Wouldn't trust an alcohalic product
Yeah Bundaberg Rum is bloody awful, even when used for drinking instead of sanitising.
OP doesn't have to worry about re-sellers as they wouldn't touch non alcoholic crap !
Unless they are the shifty snake oil salesmen .
The first ingredient on this is IPA (isopropyl alcohol).
Maybe. Certainly seems that way, but its interesting they abbreviate that, but spell out much more complex words.
How reliable are Indian labeling laws?
great joke - about the same as australian
The first ingredient on this is IPA (isopropyl alcohol).
But unlike food, where the ingredients are listed in order of volume/quantity, I don't know if that's necessarily the case with non-food products?
What’s the composition? Unless we know that, might as well be buying from Gwyneth Paltrow or Pete Evans
Exactly, I mean what does it smell like?
Gwyneth provides that information. ;)
I've just emailed them to ask. Will report back with any response.
the back photo shows MRP of 95 Rs (I assume Indian Rupees) which is nearly $2, they are making a whopping 50% on top of that inflated price!
You're not an importer, are you?
just saying it's not that cheap
Made in India. Hmmm.
pvt ldt
lol
Hmm Different prices at different stores. $3.99 at Innaloo
The alcohol content would be very low but its still going to sell like crazy….
I'd tend to agree the price is starting to normalise. I need to use Isopropanol normally, and was about to buy 5L for $40 the week before things went crazy… it has been up around the $500-700 mark until recently. I ended up paying $165 for a 5L container because I need it - still works out half the price as if I'd bought it at the normal Bunnings price in 500mL spray bottles, and I'll probably have over-paid because it does seem to be coming down in price. But when you do legitimately need it - and not to make/gouge on making and selling hand sanitizer, what can you do? :/
even $40 seems high to me :/ but no way would I pay $165 unless its for business and it was really needed…
Might want to have a read (and laugh) at this. Contains no alcohol so won't cause drunkenness or protect you either.

Yeah I'd skip this and get something more reputable with a listed and verifiable alcohol content. This shortage of hand sanitiser is really bringing some substandard third world product to our shores.
I don't trust this hand sanitiser.
just some info, if you're looking for a decent Hand Sanitiser, look for the Flammable Liquid Warning label on the bottle (no need to try the burn it as @Wattstar suggested). Aldi got some in stock "Tricare" in my local store yesterday, limit of two each, I got it at 1pm yesterday - still plenty left at the time. Didn't post as they wasn't any special on the price.
These are also great value, $3.99 for 250ml.
