    Caltex Fuel App 10% Cashback

Is this the app that many here have complained doesn't work properly?

    • +1

yep - my iPhone App is buggy. I had to reinstall it just to try to get this deal

    • +1

Yes, last time I tried to use it, wasted much time! Am a bit wary now.

Not much driving happening these days. I won't be filling up for another 7-8 weeks at my current rate of driving.

You can alway stockpile the fuel for when prices goes back to 149.9

      • +1

I drive around with a 180L tank already!

I'm filling up my 5,000 litre water tank at home with it…

Don't need the extra water over winter.

  • For VIC, still much better to use the 7-11 WA lock price
VIC fuel price are 20c more than WA….

    • My app stopped working asking to update it.
How are you able to still lock the price?

Wow, 85.7cpl for ULP at my local in Perth today, or 87.7 at Puma which with an RAC card, gets me 4c off - so 83.7.
The last time I remember it being this price, I was probably sitting in the back of a car in a booster seat.

    Too much work for $50/5

  • good

  • Caltex app is shit
I used it with 2 cards and 2 different locations, it showed Payment unsuccessful.
I walked in store but they can’t give me 6c/l discount because it only works in app.
I have to pay for full price, feel like I got cheating

Used it tonight. Worked well. Cashback tracked within minutes.

    $0.96 effective price for Ron98, that's a bargain.

  • what if you have 6c discount offers (x3 times as introductory offers), would it be best to fill up $50+ 6c to maximise saving?

  • +1

the app logs you out way too quickly and, unlike the BP app, won't let you select your pump first to unlock it.

not a big deal unless you get to the servo and the attendant goes on loudspeaker to announce it is prepay only. so i went in, told him i wanted to use the fuel pay app and he asked me to drive over to the bowser closest to him. he unlocked it and the whole process was without incident from then on.

    cashrewards hasn't tracked it yet.

I linked my card with Cashrewards 2 hours ago, then linked it with the Caltex app straight after. Used it an hour ago to buy ~$30 worth of fuel. I got the 6cpl discount, but no tracking email from CW yet.

    • Hi. This offer ended and was removed from Cashrewards at 7am on Friday April 10. I'm unsure why this OzB post wasn't expired at the time, but have now reported it for moderation. Please accept my apologies as I wasn't subscribed and was only just made aware of these comments.

The reason you’ve not tracked is because the offer is actually inactive and not listed here. It needs to be active on Cashrewards at time of purchase, else the sale will not track. Please PM me if you wish to discuss further. Thank you.

No problems TA. I did look at the fine print on the page linked in this post but it only mentioned the offer starting on 7th April, it didn't mention an end date so I gave it a shot anyway.

Happy with the 6cpl I got off.
