Hi everyone,
I've been looking at portable screens for a while now, but just haven't made the purchase as there's quite a few out there.
I'm wondering if anyone else have much experience on this or perhaps you've purchase one yourself to use at home or out and about.
Furthermore, with our AUD currency dropping, the prices for these units are quite expensive these days.
If you're a current user, what are some of the features you love/hate?
Do I need to worry about brightness, etc.?
Is the 4K screen worth the additional $$$, or just FHD would be enough?
I'm not a serious gamer, hence 4K would be a "nice to have" and not a "must have". However would love to hear your comments.
It'll probably be used for work, and the occasional hook up to handheld devices such as mobile, tablets. Some of these support Switch so that might be good alternative to the TV.
Some of the screens I found includes;
Asus Zenscreen MB16ACE Portable USB Monitor which sells for about $400
Others are on fund raising websites such as Indiegogo, like the Sculptor monitor which has both 4K and FHD, BladeX and so on…
Are these worthwhile purchases? Or another fad soon to pass?
Would you consider purchasing one or would you settle for a normal monitor which probably cost half the price?
Not sure if I'm missing anything else, but feel free to add in your comments.
Thanks, looking forward to your comments, suggestions.
I have an Asus one - USB 3 (not USB C) since its a few years old now.
It's handy for my line of work since I'm frequently out of the office - if it was purely for use at home not sure if I'd bother
