  • If you've already ordered a free pair in a previous promotion, can you purchase another?

    • I guess you can.

  • Seen this a couple of times. Just ordered my first as a 'test' run. The pair I bought listed for $108 and I ended up paying ~$37 by the time I added by postage cost (~$9), insurance (~$8), lens coatings.

I'll see how it turns up. Always handy to have a 'spare'.

  • Have got from here b4. Glasses and contacts. Quick and of a good quality. All the addons makes it yeah around $38 minimum but still a good buy. If unsure about sizes you can measure your existing pair to compare.

  • No coatings reduces the price by $20 to around $17, if the lenses are free as well.

  • has anyone successfully claim from their health fund from these guys?

    • Yeh. good point. I wonder if it's on the health funds' "approved" providers list.

      • It's not - I enquired about it when I got mine and they hadn't struck up any agreement with health fund providers as yet. They did say they were working towards it…

        • I'm with HBF and when I rang up for confirmation with HBF they said only reimbursable for contacts not glasses (maybe the guy was wrong though?)…but I did receive my free glasses this week and they are Fab!! and well worth the $20 I paid for shipping & handling :)

    • Some of the item codes they used on the invoice for add-ons like lense coatings and thinner lenses were not accepted when I was in touch with NIB.

    • Clearly Contacts provide the so called "item numbers" on a separate page - for example Rigid Gas Permeables are number 811. In my case, HCF wanted the item numbers on the same line . But I solved this by calling Clearly Contacts on their free call number, and they were able to re-issue the invoice giving each line and its item number, and no problem for HCF to put it through. So people can call their providers and check with them and then get Clearly contacts to issue the invoice accordingly. There would be a limit of how many times you can claim an item in a calendar year per person. Your receipt should also have your name and address as per the health fund details and proof of payment may also be needed.

The savings amount to hundreds of dollars for contact lenses rather than purchasing from HCF. I have not had any issue with the fitting.

  • I ordered a pair last promotion like this. Great product. Ordered without lens coating and without insurance (arrived fine).

Total cost was $10.00-$15.00, I do believe. TO have an extra pair at the office, in the car, in the gym bag, etc… well worth it.

If you do not have prescription sunglasses, this is about the best deal you can find to give them a try.

  • received my first contact lenses from them this week - difficult ones - rigid gas permeable - I saved $200 on what I have always paid (& was about to pay again with OPSM or other shops I tried). Theyre perfectly fine - AND they sent me a free pair of sunglases, AND they sent me a $38 voucher for my next buy.

am awaiting spectacles - on which I will be saving over $500 - am impressed so far…

  • Have bought 3 pairs of specs from these guys, all super cheap, and all ok. Can't beat a pair of prescription lenses for about $16!

  • I've gotten about 4 pairs of free glasses out of these guys, they don't seem to bother checking whether their customers have previously used a 'free glasses' coupon code like they used to.

Most recently got a pair of Tommy Hilfigers and a pair of Armani glasses with standard lenses for my prescription for about $20 including FedEx delivery, each. These are genuine, brand-name glasses too.

Not sure how they are making any money!

  • is this only a one day event? ><

  • I find something odd with their prices. There's this one pair of glasses I'm interested in and have bought in the past. Last week it was $28, this week it's $128. It seems to fluctuate quite a bit from extremely cheap to ordinary.

  • Hard to find any glasses to make sunglasses hmm

    • Choose those with a larger size, i.e. 55mm across and as tall as possible, i.e. 35mm!

      Thats my trick :)

After adding the 49 charge on top, everything comes up to be about $70 shipped with tinted glasses.

  • Got my pair, thanks.

  • Does it end tonight? :( My credit card doens't clear till tomorrow.

    • When you say it doesn't clear, do you mean you've put your details in and put the order through but you're waiting for it to clear - or haven't you put the order in yet?

      • All good now!

  • If I know what my prescription is do I just enter it in or do I need to get a new prescription from my Optometrist to send in?

    • Just enter it.

  • Is it really only 1 limit one per customer? I just tried the coupon for the second time and it went through. I haven't proceeded to the very end of the checkout, mainly worried that I'll get an email tomorrow scolding me for being greedy and returning my money.

Anyone else tried for a few?

    • I got impatient on top of being greedy. Processed the order through to the end. Seemed to all work fine. Fingers crossed until tomorrow.
