    Ordered for the office cheers!
Just compared this to our Water dispenser which we have in the office, we are paying way too much! Will be cancelling on Monday.

    • +5

      You mean tap?

      • -4

You would be crazy enough to drink tap water in some old office buildings

        • +1

I thought it is illegal to have faulty tap/tubing that causes the resultant tap water fail the drinking standard?

  • Thank you!!

  • +2

If anyone in WA, spudshed selling this 2 for $10

  • Comes down to $4.30 with return and earn (NSW). Nice!

  • +1

Is the quality of Mt Franklin a lot different to/better than Woolies/Coles brand? We get the 24x600ml for $8.40

    • Mt Franklin is the same quality as the Coles / Woolies brand. No noticeable difference in taste.

      • +7

I disagree. IMO Mt Franklin taste much better than Coles and Woolies. There is a distinguishing taste between the two and no this is not some placebo effect due to pricing. I've done multiple blind testing and have always confirmed that Mt Franklin is the better one. To a person who hardly buys Mt Franklin, you may not notice the taste at first but once you keep drinking it and go back to Coles or Woolies you can easily tell.

This effect can also be distinguished in Music Providers. At first I though Spotify and Tidal sounded the same until I tried Tidal for 4 months. Now when using Spotify you can tell the difference.

        • in the hotel i worked at one of the guests insisted on we provide evian water instead of Mt Franklin.
They also wanted the restaurant to provide a bowl of strawberries with stems removed.

        • So which is better Tidal or Spotify?

          • @auszulu: Tidal. But I still use Spotify as it's cheaper since I'm using the family plan and it has more songs on the platform. But I still take advantage of the 4 months for $2 deal when I can. Just to listen to artist like Hans Zimmer.

I worked at a spring water bottling factory when I was a uni student. Multiple brands were bottled there, from home brand type labels up to stuff for Pepsi and Schweppes. The stuff in the bottle was exactly the same, just different packaging.

      • -1

Yep, and it's water.. mainly convenience/the bottle.

    • +1

IMO Mt Franklin tastes worse than Coles. But Evian trumps all of these.

      • Agreed on the Evian…blechh

  • -1

Why you need this when you are self isolated?

    • Not everyone can self isolate.

  • wow…. even cheaper than the postage if we send anything through Aus post!

  • Looks like it's back in stock… Thanks

  • I ordered assuming the promo price apply to each delivery as well but now seeing my next delivery is at $8.09.

  • +3

kirkland bottled water better value and tastes pretty good.
After drinking lots of different tap and bottled water in my lifetime - I still think Melbourne tap water on a cold day is still probably the best!

    • +2

Agree re Melb water. Costs me $0.0026 per litre, so 20*500ml costs me about two and a half cents. Have to use my own bottles though of course, and I miss out on the giant cardboard box filled with plastic air bubbles I can pop that Amazon also sends so swings and roundabouts… ;-)

  • Woolworths everyday price is $7, at least in VIC metro areas

  • Available again

  • +10

Curious why people don't just drink tap water? Do you not trust the water authorities and their enormous efforts to get clean drinking water to your tap?

    • +6

Combination of stupidity and possibly bad tasting water in some areas. Mostly the former i suspect.

    • +1

Absolutely, considering the bottles water comes from a tap too.

  • Available again at $6.30 !

    • Thank you

    • gone again…

  • +11

Waste of resources, carbon emissions, unnecessary trash/plastic, time and money.
I hope everyone has a legitimate reason for buying this

    • -1

      does drinking count?

    • -4

      stop worrying about literally everyhing.

    & available again .

I'm sure I'll be negged for posting this, but I find it difficult to understand why people purchase bottled water other than in convenience when you're out and about and have no other option. Australia has some of the highest quality tap water in the world, and it's free. Using a water bottle (or even just reaching for a glass) saves you money, saves the environment, and saves on waste.

    • +1

Tap water is good quality, can't always assume the same for the pipes.

  • +9

Why are people buying this? Not environmentally friendly at all..

    • +1

I get some every now and again to have a bottle beside the bed that I refill for a week or two until the morning breath takes over it. Also for camping and I travel home from work every second weekend 4 hours in the car so grab a couple for the trip.

  • And available again

  • +10

It's fascinating to me that on a bargain website people are buying water that they have access to and are only paying for the vessel

    • Tastes much better than tap water / coles brand

      • Each to their own, I spend money on wine which is just as frivolous

        • +1

          I spend money on wine

Maybe Jesus is making all the upvotes for this deal.

@JohnHowardsEyebrows: thanks for reminding me about Johnny Howard's eyebrows - they were their own entity

            • @FlatulentFrank: I go hiking, I like to use these then refill them with my intra workout (which recommends 500ml of water) and dispose of the bottle afterwards. The powder makes my stainless steel water bottle smell (even after washing it numerous times). $6.30 for 20 bottles lasts me a few months.. just convient really.

              • @AjsGuns: If your reliance is on bottles, you’ll be able to find many more for much cheaper. Also, the bonus points for your footprint seen you enjoy nature! Again, each to their own. I personally have a stainless steel bottle that has a similar issue (only I don’t mind it that much)

                • @FlatulentFrank: Yeah it is not ideal really, but they are also handy to have 4-5 in our spare fridge and take to work or Uni (when I was on campus) if I forgot to fill my stainless drink bottle up the night before. Anyway, each to their own - I don't mind paying $6 or $7 for 20. If I have no water at work/Uni I'm slugged with paying around $3-$4 for a bottle anyway, which used to happen more than I'd like. Certainly not great for the environment and a habit I should curb, but if this is my worst habit then I'm doing alright.

  • And once again available.

    • +1

And thank you once again :)

  • Great deal but I have recently installed a filter so don't really need bottled water unless I am going out on a road trip which is not happening anytime soon…

  • Available again

    • Nice, thanks
