8bitdo SF30 Pro Switch Controller Ergonomics

I'm looking at getting the SF30 Pro for commuting / traveling as it's quite small and portable. For those of you who own or have used one, how comfortable is the controller to use? I have large hands and the last thing I want is cramping like I get when playing the Switch in handheld without a grip.

I'm open to suggestions for other controllers as well.

Thanks.

Are you going to put it in your pocket? If not, get the SN30 Pro Plus. So comfortable and well made.

    • I had planned on putting it inside my Switch case, but the Amazon listing I was looking at includes a carry case with the SF30 Pro. I already have a Pro controller, do you think the Plus would be worth it?

      • It's a great controller but if you already have a Pro, then no.

If the SF30 comes with a carry case, you'll still end up needing a bag to carry the carry case and if you have a bag then you might as well just carry the Pro.

I carry my Switch, a Switch stand (tabletop) and a Pro controller. No case. Just in my backpack.

        • I had a look at the SF30 Pro recently. Tempted to grab it just for the D-pad.

Yep, true! My bag is always filled to the brim so even squeezing the Pro in there can be difficult.

What tabletop stand do you use out of curiosity?

  • Just note that the 8BitDo SF30 Pro are basically discontinued now.

They are almost the same/similar price to the 8BitDo SN30 Pro+. Nevermind prices has increased.
